Wolf Blood: The Werewolf Apocalypse Begins (Lycanthropic Book 1) Kindle Edition

4.2 4.2 out of 5 stars 623 ratings

Forget what you've been told. Werewolves do exist. And their numbers are growing.

"Does for werewolves what The Walking Dead has done for zombies" ... "Full of surprise and suspense"

When a wave of vicious attacks sweeps across London, there are reports of a Beast on the loose. There are fears of a Ripper stalking the streets.

But the truth is more terrifying than anyone can imagine. Werewolves are prowling the city. Hunting and killing.

Lycanthropy, a disease as old as humanity, now threatens to destroy civilization. With no cure, no vaccine, and millions of potential victims, it’s spreading through the capital at exponential rates.

Can a young female police officer, a computer nerd, a genetic scientist and a group of South London teenagers do anything to stop its advance?

The werewolf apocalypse is here, and it's only just beginning...

From the Author

I've been a big fan of dystopian and apocalyptic fiction for years, and wondered why nobody had ever written a werewolf apocalypse novel. I finally realized that I would have to write one myself!

I'm also a huge fan of epic fantasy, and I love multi-protagonist series, so I decided to tell my story from the very beginning and watch as the apocalypse unfolds.

I hope you'll join me and my characters on this journey. If you do, you'll find action, drama and quite a few twists. Plus, werewolves!

What a roller coaster of a book, yah just can’t put it down for a
Minute. Took me 2 1/2 hours to finish and I can’t wait for the next one. You really need to read this book, I always loved the werewolf genre and have to tell you that this one had me locking the door and checking the windows..... I Will be following the author and keep letting everyone know what they

This book is slowly building up the werewolf infestation towards an apocalyptic event with time for us the get acquainted with the main caracters, there are some logical flaws in the history but it is enternaining. If your expecting a story about the horror of one werewolf hunting every full moon your in for a surprice, there are werewolf's everywhere doing what they can to spread the diseace for world dominace, if your into this kind of horror it is a well written start of a series of books

I love a good werewolf story and this one is so good. I loved that it was set in London and loved how there's so much more to the story than just a bloody feast. There's a lot of different characters but they were easy to keep track of and I loved seeing some of their paths cross. I'm looking forward to the next book!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Immersive page turning series
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on February 9, 2024
I loved this series from start to end. It brings a refreshingly different take on werewolves and is filled with action, drama and plot twists. Whilst it’s fast paced, the story builds nicely and the characters have depth. I stumbled across this as a black Friday deal and enjoyed book 1 so much that I went back to collect the series.

Like the book, dealt with current issues (homosexuality, discrimination, immigration). There was a healthy dose of horror, gore, fight.
What not to like. The only downside is the usual one i have with male authors writing from a female POV it lacks depht, it feels hollow. Maybe a little too much rambo from the police woman.
But i think this could even make a nice movie.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great fun
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on October 7, 2019
Tightly plotted, pacy (after some slowish scene-setting), engaging. I found myself involved with the characters, caring what became of them. The cast of characters is large but the story is well structured so you don't lose track. The action never lets up.

This is a first instalment and doesn't, even "sort of", conclude at the end of the book. It reads like YA fiction. These aren't negatives per se but should be stated up front.

But I enjoyed! Good too that later books aren't pricier once you're hooked into the series as so many authors do. Thanks Steve Morris.
