4.2 out of 5 stars 286 ratings

Twelve years ago, Wolff Mannheim was afraid. Afraid to admit he was gay but also in love. He broke up with his boyfriend, Gage Norton, in the most heinous of ways. When Wolff accepts his dream job, he finds out his ex not only works there but is also his superior. Memories of the last time he saw him come rushing back and bring a deep level of shame. Now, older, wiser, and definitely out and proud, Wolff reaches out, through social media, to explain to Gage. All he gets is a resounding “no.” Gage can’t believe his ears. He is filled with happiness as he’s finally made partner. His joy is quashed, though, when he finds out the name of the person to fill his vacated position: Wolff Mannheim The moment Gage accepts his friend request, he regrets it. He decides the best way to deal with his nemesis is to ignore him, to have nothing to do with him outside of work. So why does he want to seek Wolff out, to hear what he has to say, and to tell him about his own past? When did his hate turn into caring about him? And maybe more. Wolff recognises he’s still in love with Gage, but how does Gage feel about him? There’s no way Gage could still have feelings for him. Not after what he did.
Home to You is the first book in the Redemption Series and is not a stand-alone novel. The story continues in book 2, Family Ties. The Redemption series takes place in England, and is written in British english. This is a gay romance and book one of a short story series.

You will normally find JJ in the living room—typing away—with her dog, Siddiqi. As a hopeless romantic, she dives into her stories, always falling in love with her men, making sure they get the happy ever after they deserve, even if they do have to work hard for it.

As a bona fide bookaholic, a wine-drinking and swear-like-a-sailor type of girl, she has yet to work out how to act her age!! LOL. And she has no intentions of growing up or growing old gracefully.

JJ lives in a small, very quiet, village in Lincolnshire, UK, with her husband and dog, and spends all day dreaming up stories full of really hot men.

This book is so good . Wolffe did something very stupid and hurtful to Gage when they were 18. He hasn’t really thought about it since but buried it way deep down. It all comes rushing back to the forefront though when he realizes his new job is the position opened up by Gage making partner at his firm. Gage isn’t ready to face Wolffe at first and keeps freezing him out. The anxiety and despair he lived with immediately after their very humiliating breakup doesn’t go so easily back into the box he has stuffed it in. But when he notices Wolffe is shutting down from his refusal to allow him to talk and apologize, he realizes his feelings might not be all hate after all. This is a fabulous book about forgiveness and redemption, moving on from the past and living in the present and making a new future. We aren’t who we were when we were young and stupid. We mature when we realize we can move beyond that. This book has all kinds of feels!

This was my first book by JJ Harper and it definitely won't be my last. It drew me in from the very first page and I couldn't put it down. This was an amazing book about love and forgiveness. I absolutely loved Wolff and Gage and I didn't want their story to end. Good thing I get more of them in the next book. Loved it!!

This is the shameful behavior of one man when he was too young and too confused. He committed a grievous, regretful action to Gage. Will they be able to rise above it. Wolff regrets what he did, unaware of the long term damage left in his wake. This is their journey after the incident and where life brings them back together. I loved this story. I'm off to read book #2 GAGE. Can't Wait To See where life takes them. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK!!!!!!

At first all I wanted to do was hate Wolff for what he did. I don’t know if I’d have forgiven him as easily as Gage did, though Gage showed his strength when realizing his hate wasn’t hurting anyone but himself and finally offered forgiveness. Still unsure if Wolff has fully redeemed himself, even after apologizing over & over again. The love between them seems real though and I hope it continues going strong.

It’s hard to rate this book, I was debating between 3 and 4. I finally settled on 3 because while it’s well written (meaning I don’t need to read the same sentence numerous times before understanding it), I don’t like the excuse that was used for what Wolff did to Gage. They kept saying he was a kid when he did it. He was eighteen, an adult, not a kid, and what he did was CRUEL and calculated. He claimed that he loved Gage at the time. If he could do something like that to someone he loved, I don’t want to know what he would’ve done to someone he hated. That’s not a good person and Gage deserved someone better. There was not really much redemption either. All Wolff did was, after twelve years, finally realized his “prank” hurt Gage deeply.

Wow! These two had quite a bully/victim past and were able to overcome it in this book. Gage was amazingly forgiving-more than I can imagine doing myself. Weird bit at the end between Wolfe and his best friend Theo that made zero sense. Maybe it gets cleared up in the next book.

I read this book in one sitting. I couldn't put it down. What Wolff did to Gage when they were younger, was unthinkable. How Gage could forgive him just showed what kind of man he became and with the way Wolff felt about what he had done, his guilt, was tear jerking. I can't wait for the next book to come out. Another amazing book JJ. I loved it. Hurry with the next one. This book is definitely worth five stars.

    Wolff
Woah what a start to a brand new series from J J Harper.
The stars of this book are Wolff & Gage and this is a stunning second chance Romance.
Wolff & Gage have not seen each other in 12 years and their parting of ways was acrimonious at best, after Gage was left broken and humiliated by the one person he trusted more than anything. Now they cross paths again and you are left wondering for a time exactly what happened between the pair, and once you do find out, how on earth do they move past this terrible event.
As always J J provides us with some great characters... not only the H&H but the side characters too that balance the book perfectly. Wolff, let’s say it took me some time to warm to him, mainly because of past events but by the finish he was amazing- but this is what JJ does best, she takes characters that are not perfect but very real and she takes them and us on a journey, a journey of growth for both characters, where we see the grit, the determination, the friendship, and the love all evolve over time until hopefully we see total redemption.
Gage was a lovely character who was gentle and kind but the scars he wears from 12 years again remain very real indeed and my heart broke for him.
The writing was flawless flowing from scene to scene perfectly, and the intensity was such that it was easy to get lost within the story, it felt as though as a reader we were involved somehow, and that it was your friends that this was happening to...boy was I rooting for both these characters to be able to move on from the past and to find love again.
So another emotional, angsty but heartwarming story of love, loss, friendships and forgiveness that will challenge your thinking and open your heart to these two amazing men- just like I have.
Do Wolff and Gage manage to put the past behind them and find love together?
You need to read and find out.
This is book one of the redemption series so watch out for book 2!
    5 Wolffingly good stars!

All the emotions were there but they were on surface . It lacks the depth despite promising plot. Gage and wolff were not very memorable characters.

Ive read a lot of books by this author and I’ve enjoyed them. I liked this book also, but I didn’t love it. The main reason is it feels rushed. I liked the premise, I liked the mc’s and the supporting characters as well, but... it could of been 5 stars with more depth.

The story flow easily so you could follow
I did not like how out of the blue Theo became the bad guy and Wolff just turn on him after being friends for so long, that’s why only a 2 rating.
I would still recommend this book fast reading.
