Must read for romance lovers
This was so good!! I have no idea why this book has so few reviews because every romance lover needs to read this. I loved Tati and Wes’s story. I felt all of the butterflies one feels in a budding relationship, all of the angst and all of the joys right along with them. Danielle Allen is a new author for me, but I’m sold on this book. I plan to read everything she writes.

    When a story makes me want to do a happy dance then it was darn good! I loved every second of Work Song. This story is witty and captivating and just makes you all giddy inside. It's about taking chances on love and life.

    Tatiana Green is one of my FAVORITE heroines! She's the type of girl that guys love, and that girls crush on. Seriously I wish I were her. This chick is smart, sexy and confident. Tati is a curvy girl who embraces her figure and knows how to show it off. She's fashion forward and is also sports enthusiast.

    She has a fashion blog, but more importantly she's also an aspiring sports writer. Tatiana and co-worker Wesley Barnes have a friendly relationship and just get each other. I absolutely loved their banter and conversations. It was lighthearted and laugh out loud funny. But they also have this undeniable chemistry that is just bubbling and ready to reach the surface. The sexual tension is off the charts and makes this story sizzle.

    I loved how Tatiana knew what she wanted and wouldn't allow anything to get in her way. She's driven, but pursuing a relationship with Wesley threatens to destroy everything that she has worked for. Wesley Barnes is a certified swoon worthy hero! Wes is attentive and patient with Tatiana. But what was incredible was that he just got her. Tatiana is in a male dominated career, but never did Wesley think of Tatiana as anything less. He supported her and allowed her to be just her.

    This is my first time reading Danielle Allen and I'm so glad that I gave Work Song a chance. It's an amazing read that I adored. It left me smiling for days and had me re-reading the story for a second time only days later!

    Once again, Danielle Allen has gotten to me. I don't know how she does it, but she somehow innately knows what to do to draw me in.

    What was it this time? A well placed quote from a book/movie that I am obsessed with. (and when I say obsessed, I could legally change my name to Scarlet and my family would NOT be surprised).

    That well placed quote is just icing on the cake. This book was amazing.

    Tatiana is fierce. She's trying to find her own way in a man's world. Her confidence is something I wish I had, it's something I wish every woman had. I almost want my daughters to read this, just so they can see an example of the type of body confidence they should have.

    And Wesley. OhMy! He is the ultimate. He lifts her up, never making her feel less than. That, right there, very well may be the sexiest damn thing ever.

    When Tatiana and Wesley are together it's magical. And I loved their journey more than words can say. What I love more than that is that, there are so many things that can be taken from this. For me, it's the body positive message. For others it could be the mental confidence to do what you love, even if it's not mainstream, or finding the courage to believe in yourself and your capacity to love. I think that just about anyone who reads this can find something positive or even inspiring to take away from it. Honestly, this book just made me feel good, and at the end of the day that's all anybody really wants.

    Loved the story but there were a few repetitive moments.. not the overall story but small things.. like Tatiana constantly biting on her thumb, calling Wes “a flirt” for the umpteenth time, or Wes calling her a brat. Very minor but it happened so often in short spans of time I started to wonder if I was reading the same page twice.

    Overall, this is a great office romance, as well as friends to lovers trope if you like that which I do !

    This was the perfect love story leading up to Valentines Day. You have no choice but to get absorbed into the budding love of Tati and Wes. Both deem themselves as slightly awkward because of their insatiable love of songs & movies and they “get” each other in a way no other person has. Their crush further gets complicated when Wes & Tati are forced to meet face-to-face due to the company’s restructuring. And THAT is where your heart soars. The way Wes loves on Tati sets your soul on fire!     I have given this a five star rating as it was a joy to read. The story resonated with me on so many different levels. Tatiana is , on the face of it, a positive, fun loving career woman. Like most of us, incidences from her past affects the decisions she makes in life as an adult. I love how Danielle Allen guides both lead characters through their decisions in character and life. You won't be disappointed...in the meantime I am off to find and download the rest of her work.

    Ich bin durch Zufall auf diese Autorin gestoßen und bin sooo froh darüber. Sie schreibt über Menschen, die man eher aus dem eigenen Leben kennt. Über Themen, die man vielleicht selbst durchmacht.
