Working for the Bennett brothers gave Nige purpose, and a way to hide behind screens and technology, avoiding that pesky ‘people’ problem that he’d rather avoid. Ted was new to town, new to Nige’s neighbourhood, and literally crashed into his life without warning. Was it safe to trust another man, and maybe even find happiness this time? Could he even convince this overly cautious, but charmingly inexperienced man to give him a chance?

Nige’s traumatic past had left him scarred, and fighting severe anxiety, while Ted’s led him to hide in an unknown town, with a new name, keeping secrets he hoped would never be revealed. Falling for each other should have been easy, if not for them being on opposing sides of that line, the one between good and bad, right and wrong, lawful and criminal.

Can love overcome all obstacles, or will the many things standing in their way make it impossible? Can Ted accept Nige’s choices, and can they survive when Ted’s past comes calling?

And beyond all of that, how will the Bennetts react when their relationship puts the entire Bennett empire at risk, and alliances begin to fracture? Will Nige have to choose between his love and his life? Will Ted even survive when his identity becomes known, and two worlds collide?

This is a dark romance story, featuring content which may not suit all readers, or may be triggering. It is a standalone book, with HEA, and the characters will appear again in a future book, but will not be the focus of that book.

    Since I started this series I have been invested in Nige. Such a sweet and caring man with just the right amount of sarcasm. Side note, this may be a spoiler, the banter between Nige and Mr. Teller keeps me laughing. And, here comes Ted! I could only imagine seeing him naked, mmmm good!!!!

    Nige and Ted came into each other's life at the right time. Ted, brings Nige, out of his shell and starts to get him to enjoy life. Nige, give Ted the real love that he needs.

    I could not put this down. I'm going ahead in the book because I had to know what's going to happen. This one took me on an emotional rollercoaster and I'm happy to get on it anytime.

    Nige has always been a scene steälër and I was so excited when I realized he was getting his own book. And what a book it was! Nige surprised me in so many ways. He's more than just the funny, intelligent man we've seen in previous books. He's an incredibly complex character who has created a world around him that's almost become a shield. It's what he knows and feels secure in but after meeting Ted, he suddenly finds himself wondering if it's enough.

    Ted was such an interesting character. I loved that he defied the stereotypes and despite being bűrnëd in the past, isn't shy about going after what he wants. He makes it clear he wants Nige and although there are some bumps in the road along the way, I loved that Ted both respected and pushed Nige's boundaries. So much of this is new to Nige and Ted was the perfect person to help him see the side of life that Nige has been missing.

    Of course, nothing is easy in the Bennett world so expect some cräzy twists and turns.

    Loved this story and can't wait to see what the author writes next.

    Nige and Teddy are #goals. The twists and turns in this book were enough to keep me turning pages until all hours of the night. Definitely a finish in one sitting book. Having read many M/M books i can honestly say this takes it to a whole new level. The Bennett Crime World keeps getting better and better!!!!

    Who doesn't love a romance where the main man goes and does anything and everything to protect his love? I love it. You'd love it too if you read this book. From totally different backgrounds but destined to be this is all the makings of a modern day fairy tale.....if it was deliciously naughty
