    I ended this book with a very happy heart. I have been wondering and concerned about this couple since meeting them in book one. While book one was absolutely stunning and very moving, I find that this is a wonderful addition and I have a feeling book 3 will also be equally as fantastic. Hope really knows how to write a wounded war hero story that pulls at all of the heart strings.

    I really love that this was a married couple's story, and watching them work their way back to each other after a serious war injury really was heart-wrenching.

    This was a story of a very courageous couple who never gave up, fighting for themselves and each other. Another fantastic story from Hope.

    This book was incredible. This book will break your heart but heal you at the same time. We met Jeremy and Peggy in "Scarred Hero," and this is their story. After Jeremy lost his legs overseas, he came home extremely broken. Jeremy deals with the same things our veterans do. He is so tucked inside himself that he is pushing his family away. They just want him, they could care less about his leg's. Jeremy's family craves his attention because he has been so shut down. This is Jeremy's story and how he gets his family back.

    I cried from beginning to end. I cried for every wounded soldier who feels they aren't deserving of love and affection. I cried tears of hope. I know it's a book, but the story resonated. Peggy has tried giving her husband space to recuperate and assimilate. She's getting impatient. Mostly, she's sad. He hasn't touched her or their children in a year. And, he won't let them touch him. Peggy's losing the only man she's ever loved. Jeremy knows he has to do better where his wife and family are concerned. But he's struggling. He's not the same man he was before his last deployment. When Peggy suggests they separate, Jeremy finally realizes he's about to lose the love of his life. It's difficult, but he pushes through the pain and discomfort to regain his family. Peggy won't give up in letting Jeremy know his family needs him in their lives. He may feel less of a man, but Peggy will do whatever it takes to remind Jeremy he's still a man in her eyes and heart...and always will be her forever love.
