New Beginnings at Wynter House (Wyntersleap series Book 2) Kindle Edition

4.4 out of 5 stars 2,768 ratings

The New Year brings unexpected revelations at Wynter House.

Neva Grey’s Christmas brought several surprises. Now a shocking secret has life-changing consequences for the Wynters, as the New Year brings revelations ... and relatives to Wynter House.

It also brings Hazel Smart and Amelia Goodbody. And it’s not just Adam and Rafe Wynter who are pleased Hazel and Amelia have come to stay. Olivia Wynter will enjoy bossing nurse Hazel around and she also makes it clear Amelia – who is handling the marketing for Rafe’s new business venture – is far more suited to be her grandson’s girlfriend than Neva will ever be.

Whilst Amelia is ensconced at Wynter House, Neva is busy with her new hair and beauty salon in Merriment Bay. Perhaps she should enlist her niece, Sasha’s help because just when she thought she had found the love of her life, old secrets, ghosts from the past, and new arrivals might shatter all her dreams.

At least she has her best friend, Jo Duncan to lean on. But newly single, Jo is determined to have some fun, both at Wynter House and in Merriment Bay. And so is Adam Wynter.

This is book two in the Wyntersleap series but it can be read as a standalone. The Wyntersleap series is interlinked with the Merriment Bay series and several characters appear in both series.

Emily writes novels, novellas and short stories about friendship, family, the things life throws at us, and falling in love. She loves a happy ending but knows that life doesn't always go to plan. Her stories are sure to bring a smile to your face and a warmth to your heart. She is a full member of the Society of Authors and since her first book was published in 2012, several of her books have been best sellers.

Emily lives in East Sussex, UK, minutes from the sea in a town called Hastings - famous for the Battle of 1066. The stunning surrounding countryside and quaint English villages often appear in her books. Emily lives with her rescue cat, Portia, and when she's not writing, she loves to read, cook, drink (too much) wine with her friends, and potter in the garden of the house she's recently bought. She also loves skiing, adores frolicking in the snow, and is a self-confessed lover of Christmas - which can't start too early, in her opinion.

Emily loves to connect with her readers and has a readers' group in which many have become good friends. To catch up with Emily, or find out about the group, visit https://www.emilyharvale.com or connect with her on social media: https://www.facebook.com/emilyharvalewriter

Emily Harvale’s writing style is fun. Her characters are very down-to-earth, but fall into improbable situations that take you out of your own day-to-day routine. In this series, there are mysteries from the past that must be solved and romances looking for a happy ending. I really enjoyed it.

I chose this rating because there are so many characters! Sometimes that can be confusing! Also, I think there's too much talk about SEX!

After reading the Merriment Bay series, and three of Wynterleaps I'm totally impressed with Ms Harvale's talent. Research is well done, characters jump from the pages and became friends. Editing is refreshing. Bravo Barb
