A Christmas Carrot [Print Replica] Kindle Edition
Terry Crispus hates Christmas; he'd rather keep his presents and dinner for himself. He won't even let his neighbour Mrs Goodenough have a carrot for the reindeer and the snowman's nose.
Then the Christmas Carrot visits Terry at midnight on Christmas Eve, and takes him on a host of adventures. Will Terry learn to share before it is too late?

Liz Hedgecock grew up in London, England, did an English degree, and then took forever to start writing. After several years working in the National Health Service, some short stories crept into the world. A few even won prizes. Then the stories started to grow longer...
Now Liz travels between the nineteenth and twenty-first centuries, murdering people. To be fair, she does usually clean up after herself.
Liz’s reimaginings of Sherlock Holmes, her Pippa Parker cozy mystery series, and the Caster & Fleet Victorian mystery series (with Paula Harmon) are available in ebook and paperback.
Liz lives in Cheshire with her husband and two sons, and when she’s not writing or child-wrangling you can usually find her reading, messing about on Twitter, or cooing over stuff in museums and art galleries. That's her story, anyway, and she's sticking to it.

Liz Hedgecock is one of my favorite authors. This did not disappoint.
You have to read this as it is a Christmas cartoon.
I would highly recommend this story for all readers young to that inner child. 2024

- Reviewed in the United States on November 2, 2019Teaching sharing and caring in this satirical spoof on a very Dickensian favorite- worse for Mr. Crisp than a bunch of carolers singing.
Christmas is a good time for A Christmas Carol- and a bunch of carrots too!

- Reviewed in the United States on November 4, 2019I have always loved A Christmas Carol with Ebenezer Scrooge that everyone knows and loves. A Christmas Carrot is a great parallel to the original Dickens story but aimed at a younger audience. Excellent books with great illustrations that kids and adults too can enjoy.

- Reviewed in the United States on December 14, 2019Oh what fun! This book made me smile. It is the cuties and most fun version of a Christmas Carol. The carrot is the “ghosts”, well sort of. The graphics were great. It is a heartwarming story that children will like because the mean man becomes good. It is cute and fun and brings you into the Christmas spirit.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Christmas Carol reimagined
Terry Crispus is a grim unhappy man. His favorite food is carrots. When he refuses to share his carrots with the neighbors, he is visited by the Christmas Carrot and taken on an
adventure to show him the error of his ways.
Will he learn to share? Will he find the joy of Christmas ?
A retelling of A Christmas Carol aimed at a younger audience but enjoyable for all ages. I enjoyed the story and will probably read it several times more.

5.0 out of 5 stars A fab take on a Christmas classic
This was an engaging book with great illustrations. An awesome book for kids at that special time of year. It imparts the wisdom from a Christmas Carol via the medium of vegetables. We thought it was great.
