    Claire Highton - Stevenson takes this story through many phases. Two young adults, Sadie and Natalie, meet in a bar. Both come from difficult families, one is from rich, one from poor, one is in school, one works in a bar. Despite their backgrounds there is a connection. An attraction that fully develops over eight months into love. But with a heavy heart, Natalie is put in a no win situation and breaks up with Sadie. Professing her love but saying she had to do this, Natalie leaves and then disappears. The story is told in a present and past timeline for each chapter. Starting in the present when Natalie swears she saw a woman in the hotel lobby she was staying in during a convention that looked exactly like Sadie, almost thirty years later. CHS takes us back to what happened then as we are moving forward. It is a story that is heartwarming and heartbreaking. It is a story empowering women. It is a story that questions decisions made in one’s life. It is a story that makes you feel good. Great Read!

    I really liked this book. 2nd chance relationships are my favorite trope. I prefer the absence to be much shorter but it worked for this story. That being said and without spoilers I get very nervous how it will be handled when one character is an escort. I have no issues at all with that profession when the character is single, get that bank girl! But I’m a very monogamous mined person once in a relationship so I’m always worried a book like this will really upset me. I’ll just say even though I would have changed a couple things I enjoyed this book and it was handled it to my satisfaction.
    Now please give usa a book 2 and give Harry a HEA.

A chance meeting brings the two back together and the two are faces with working through past trauma to see if the love they still felt could blossom into what they'd both dreamed of.     When they were teenagers Natalie & Sadie met, fell in love and had an 8 month relationship that ended when Natalie suddenly & unexpectedly broke it off, without giving a reason. Just disappeared from Sadie’s life, leaving her totally heartbroken. 25 years later Natalie, now a successful businesswoman running an adult toy company, is at a sales conference when she’s sure she’s spotted someone that, even after all this time, could only be Sadie, the long lost love of her life…
    This novel perfectly captures the ‘second chance romance’ trope, which isn’t one of my favourites normally, but this is expertly done. The device of using flashback chapters to explain Natalie & Sadie’s history is wonderfully realised. The personalities of the MCs along with the emotional storyline are beautifully crafted by Clare H-S. I liked the small callback to another of her books, ‘Heal Their Hearts’ in the scenes in the cafe, but ‘You’re Still The One’ stands alone as another triumph from Clare H-S, who I always think of as one of the ‘3 Clare’s’, along with Clare Lydon & Clare Ashton, as authors who epitomise all that is great about British sapphic writing and who’s books are well worth spending time with.
