    The characters were great. The setting and the way the emotions were conveyed was just perfect. Truly came in expecting another raunchy Novela with MM but this book blew me out of the water, read it one 1 day and SOBBED to the point I need to hide my crying with music from the fam. I had the great idea to start playing Radiohead and I bawled harder than ever.

    The characters were grounded as hell and the feelings were RAW huge TW with my daddy issues but I feel like this book healed me in the smallest way and really made think about progeny 10/10 i CANT wait to continue reading any other book the author has released. Went in reading this book blind and can't wait to rec this book to my friends

    wow. What can i say. I liked it so much i read it a second time soon after. I even went out and searched for their special red wine, Carmenere and Malbec. Speaking of which, i am drinking Carmenere as i write this. I have never been a fan of football but through reading Tal’s books i am starting to want to learn more. I really cared about all the characters. This is a wonderful, heartfelt story with proud fathers, wonderful sons and finding love later in life when some think their life is already over. It’s never too late for love. NO way. Not if Tal has anything to say about it. There are some long winded internal ramblings and repetition but not as bad as I’ve seen by other authors.

    This story was an incredible & heartfelt friends to lovers MM romance but also a beautiful story about parenting.

    Luke and his son Emmet have a broken and struggling father/son relationship. Luke feels so lost in his life after losing his wife a year ago. While at his son’s football practice, another dad (Landon) convinces Luke to sign up for volunteering for their son’s Texas football team. This is the beginning of a great friendship which leads to lovers, all starting in the small moments. They have great chemistry and its such a feel-good experience. You also watch Luke and Emmet slowly begin to piece back together their father son relationship as they heal. Its truly beautiful.

    Parenting teens is hard and I think the author captured it really well. I even enjoyed the football theme and language.

    You & Me is a M/M, single dad, bi awakening sports romance. You say single dad, and I say Heck yes! When I first began reading the story, something felt a little off. It was as if I were being told what was happening and description of so many things as opposed to feeling it. But then that slipped away after we had a foundation built and I began to lose myself in Luke's world. In his sadness and the weight of the world he carried so heavily. And when he met Landon and Landon introduced him to the world of football and volunteering, everything lit up. There was life again. But this wasn't only a love story between 2 adults. There is loss. There is misunderstanding. But at the root it is love. There was also a love between two dads and their sons and a deep friendship between those sons. I couldn't have loved it more!

    Luke and Landon are two adults that have experienced loss and change in their lives. When they meet each other through the Boosters by volunteering for the varsity football program, they develop a fast friendship. Meanwhile, their two sons Emmet and Bowen are the two captains of the team that have also formed a close knit friendship. But Emmet is Luke's son and they have anything but a close relationship after the death of his mother. What unfolds and transpires between all these men is emotional, beautiful and heartwrenching.

    I loved watching Emmet and Luke's relationship slowly change over time with small little things. From a meal shared together or a bedroom door open. The lines of communication shifted over the course of the story and I felt it deep in my bones. They had a huge battle to climb and following along on their journey was just as beautiful as watching Landon and Luke slowly build a friendship that turned into so much more. I wasn't sure if I was going to like only having Luke's POV, but I feel it made the story that much stronger. I liked seeing the battles he had to go through with his attraction to Landon as well as figuring out how to love and respect his teenage son after so much time had passed. And since I'm a huge football fan, I loved it that much more. But warning... there is A LOT of football all throughout. It is what holds everything together.

    I'm so thankful that someone said I must read this book. I loved it, the characters and the journey for the men as well as their sons. Emotional, beautiful, sensual with just enough heat with a strong sense of family and connection. I just wish I would've read it earlier. Highly recommend (especially if you love football).

    Some of my favorite books are Bauer's Executive Office Series. I thought, "surely, this won't be as much of my cup of tea. I'm not a parent, and I'm not huge into football." How dead-wrong I was. While it is VASTLY different from The Executive Office Series, it was no less gripping, albeit not in a high-stakes-suspense way, but a "my-heart-is-being- squeezed-and-love-it" way.

    I have a book hangover that I need to go nurse. I'll probably pick it back up again in a day or two, since I don't see this hangover ending any time soon.
