Dead Ever After: A Post Apocalyptic Zombie Thriller (Zombie D.O.A. Book 20) Kindle Edition
"The final episode of the Zombie D.O.A. series. Will humanity survive?"
The once mighty Pendragon Corporation has fallen, leaving humanity at the mercy of the horrendously depraved John Messenger and his Zombie army. As the horde sweeps north across California, the Collins family finds itself directly in its path and unable to flee. They hope that Messenger will pass them by. Little do they know that they hold the one thing he’s determined to have, and that he won’t stop until he gets it.
The conclusion to the Zombie D.O.A. Series cranks up the odds and the action, accelerating towards an ending that will make your jaw drop.

An Interview With The Author
Q - What makes the Zombie D.O.A series so special?
A - A number of things. When I started writing this series, I set out to create the kind of books I enjoy reading. I love post-apocalyptic fiction like Stephen King's "The Stand" and Robert McCammon's "Swan Song" and, of course, "The Walking Dead," so I wanted to create something on the massive scale of those horror classics. However, I wanted the story to work on a smaller scale too, really getting into the hearts and minds of the characters.
Judging by the feedback from readers, the series works on both those levels. Yes, it's scary zombie post apocalyptic fiction, zombie survival fiction, zombie thriller. But it's also about realistic characters who the reader can root for (or despise, as the case may be).
Overall, the Zombie D.O.A. series is fast-paced, kickass and scary. It's a real page turner with plenty of twists and turns that will keep you reading late into the night.
Q - What order should I read the books in?
A - There are 21 books in all and they should be read in the following sequence:(NB: Each series (1 - 5) is also available as a box set. Buying that way works out about 60% cheaper)
- Dead Meat (prequel)
- Dead City
- Dead On My Feet
- The Dead Men
- Dead On Arrival
- Return to Dead City
- The Dead Can't Die
- Among The Dead
- Dead And Buried
- Deadly
- Speak Of The Dead
- Stone Dead Forever
- Requiem For The Dead
- The Dead Shall Rise Again
- Dead Things
- Kill The Dead
- The Dead, The Damned And The Dying
- The Never Dead
- Dead And Dangerous
- We, The Dead
- Dead Ever After
Q - There are lots of zombie books out there, why should readers give these books a try?
A - Once again, I can only pass on what my loyal readers have said. I was deeply flattered to hear the series described as, "as good as The Walking Dead," "the best zombie series out there," and "impossible to put down." Other readers have commented on the breakneck pace, unique plot twists and unforgettable characters."
All in all, the series is fast paced, scary and, in parts, deeply moving. If you enjoy post apocalyptic fiction told on a massive scale, with larger than life characters and lots of unexpected plot twists, you'll enjoy this...period.

About the author

One day the world will end. Someone has to tell the story, right?
JJ Zep is a musician and author who describes himself as a vegetarian, horror-and-fantasy-fiction-loving heretic and a citizen of nowhere.
His twisted post-apocalyptic tales will frighten, enthrall and entertain you. They'll creep you out and make you laugh and maybe even get you to shed a tear or two.
You'll find heart-stopping action and gore a plenty, if that's your thing. But you'll also find humanity, heroes and heart. After all, stories (even one's about the end of the world) are ultimately about people.
JJ Zep lives in the south of France with his wife, two dogs and three cats.

- Reviewed in the United States on August 10, 2014Here it is, the latest release from JJ Zep, and I'm sad to say the final instalment of the fabulous zombie D.O.A. series, book 20 Dead Ever After.
The story kicks off right at the end of book 19 with Jojo, and Ruby attempting to make their way to their fathers house, and Charlie heading out to meet Jojo, but as per usual with the Collins clan nothing ever goes according to plan. An ambush by Goliath leaves one group in a serious condition, with several dead and one life hanging in the balance, while Ruby finds herself once again thrown into the arena fighting for not only for her own life but also little Pearls as well.
Meanwhile Chris Collins has his own issues to deal with. Hooley, a broken man after the death of his wife Janet, having trouble with the Dumfries brothers, and the towns residents leaving in droves after the report of a large zombie horde heading in their direction, the horde of a hundred thousand plus zombies that's being lead by John Messenger.
The story trots along at a good pace culminating with Hooleys confrontation with the Dumfries brothers and the arrival and final battle with John Messenger. We do unfortunately loose some main and supporting characters in this book which I was sad to see, but as I mentioned at the start of this review, this is the final book in the series and the good guys don’t always survive.
On a personal note I'd like to thank JJ Zep for making me part of the D.O.A. world, I got to be Captain Colin Buckland in some of the latter books, so thank you my friend.

5.0 out of 5 stars I would like to say all the books in this series are ...
I just came on Amazon to buy books 17 - 20 to add to my Kindle, didn't realise this was the final one.
I would like to say all the books in this series are amazing, I can see them as a film in my head as I read them. They are a action packed adventure, very well done Mr Zep! I do have another of you sets but haven't got round to reading them yet, I will I promise :)
