Hi, I'm Jade Thorn,

I'm a stay at home mother of 3 gorgeous wee monsters. I live in Australia with them, their Daddy, our pup, Smudge, and our pet fish.

I've been writing forever it seems. I had a passion for it as young as 9, but it never occured to me that others would like my little stories. I have oodles and oodles of half written pieces and slowly but surely I'm sharing them with you.

    This story is packed with so many twist and turns. With epic fight scenes that I forget how m reading it to the extreme range of emotions and depths the characters are able to provide. All I can truly says is well done! … And how great is it that there is still 1 more book left to read! Looking forward to getting lost in another one of Jade Thorn’s books. ^_^ This series is one of the very few books I have purchased to make sure I always have an amazing book to read, no matter rain or shine… or power outages.. lol

    I will say i enjoyed this second installment and I'll read the next one but there were some issues. It did move forward yet a lot of the story was spent on the same day to day stuff as the first one. The guys weren't very unique to themselves, most of them stayed in the background and when they did have a POV they all kind of blended together minus Marcus who really had a personality flip from the first book. A lot of the times his inner thoughts sounded so much like Kat's that I had to double check it hadn't switched. The tense went back and forth from past to present within the same paragraph throughout the book. There were several inconsistencies. At one point it says there were six mates when there were eight. The new refugees were referred to more than once with one name then it switched to a completely different name. The issues regarding Marcus and Catriona were resolved in a way that felt abrupt and unrealistic as if it were just swept under the rug with no one to blame because you can't be mad at a goddess. The ending was very rushed and felt like the epilogue was left muddled on purpose as there isn't a clear direction for the plot.

    Again I'll still read the next one but there were issues.

Definitely loved seeing the bigger picture with the deities and the role of Catriona and her mates.     I have to say that overall, book 2 ended up being more enjoyable than book 1. Initially when I started this book I considered not finishing it at around 13% percent through. I went and read another 2 books before giving it another go. What she it was the author putting a stop to the non stop sex scenes, the FMC was getting sick of it and as a reader I was too.
    Once steps were put in place to tamp down the constant orgies, the story started to move forward much better and the rest of the book flowed much better.
    I am interested to read book 3 and see where the story goes from here.
