Blood Pledged: A Reverse Harem Paranormal Romance (Arcane Arts Academy Book 3) Kindle Edition

4.5 out of 5 stars 893 ratings

No matter what I say, both the Arcane Authorities and the Arcane Council deny any witch involvement in the kidnapping and slaughter of the shifters and vampires.

It’s total bullsh*t. I know what I saw, and I’ll prove it.

But just when I think I’m onto something—disaster strikes. A student is found dead on Academy grounds. Drained of blood. A gnarly bite mark in her neck.

Naturally, all fingers point to my familiars. I could understand why they’d be obvious suspects; except they were with me when it happened. And it couldn’t have been the dangerously sexy vamp who’s been visiting me after dark, either right?

Draven wouldn’t do that. I’m sure of it.

So, then who? Why?

One thing becomes terrifyingly clear after the second body is found—the longer we take to figure it out—the more students will wind up dead.

NOTE: This series was previously published under the same series title of Arcane Arts Academy however, these versions have been altered to include lots of bonus content and all-new chapters from the guys' points of view!

This series is so well written in choreographed. The character development is flawless and captivating. There's so much emotion packed into this book, including lust and love, betrayal, fear, and heartbreak. The ending had me crying and covered in goosebumps for what happened and what's to come. The loss of one character broke my heart but we will see them avenged!

I enjoyed the twists and turns of the plot so far. However the many typos and grammatical errors were jarring. I occasionally had to read a sentence over to make sense of it.

As we follow Harper through her time at Arcane Arts Academy the level of mystery grows, and more questions develop. There are so many questions I hope are answered in the next book! One thing you can count on in each book is the constant comfort of Harper's guys, friends, and the few adults that she is unwaveringly loyal to. This book was so good, and I can't wait for the next!!!

Students are being murdered. Everyone wants to blame Harper's familiars, you know, the wolves. It has to be a shifter or a vampire, considering the wounds and the lack of blood in the corpses. Harper has to prove her wolves are innocent. Who is the murderer? Why are they killing witches? And trying to frame Harper's familiars? Great read and series!

At first this book started off slowly. But as I got into the story I began to enjoy it.

Harper is present when Cal and Adrian's former Alpha, Atlas, cuts their pack bond. Until the guys find a new territory close enough to Harper and far enough away from their old pack, they are allowed to stay on the Academy's grounds. Harper has a small home rebuilt for them out of an old shed, so the guys are just a few feet away from her.

But when a student is found murdered after hours, all fingers point to her familiars. Now neither Cal or Adrian will leave the campus, leaving Harper unprotected. Draven the vampire has taken a protective/curious interest in her as well, and pays her nightly visits. He's trying to help her understand her father's journal to reverse the curse. Elias is doing his part as well, so Harper has 4 men by her side that she can trust completely.

When Biana starts losing gaps of time and memory, her boyfriend and Harper are concerned. Harper and her guys try to figure out who is messing with her mind. So they set a trap to find out who the killer is by using Bianca as bait and throwing her a large birthday party when she turns 18. They know it's a witch, but who is the question?

    A must read!

I wanted to like this series so much. In fact I do like it, I just don’t love it. I started book one because the premise of the story was really interesting and I was eager to see where it ended up. Unfortunately, there’s just something, or multiple things, lacking that make it almost impossible to connect with this story. It’s so hard to explain, because I do like the characters and their budding relationships, but I just can’t bring myself to read any more or finish this series which is very disappointing. I’m lacking an emotional connection to the characters and the story, even though I’m interested in both. It’s so frustrating. It was a struggle to get though this book since I just wasn’t interested anymore, but I at least wanted to finish since I’d already started it. Unfortunately I will not be continuing this series. I’m sure the next book will reveal a lot and long awaited details will come to light, but I just can’t. I think the writing was a little…. Immature?…. For me? It’s so hard to put my finger on exactly what went wrong. But if you liked or even loved the books of this series, don’t let my lack of interest dissuade you! It’s just not for me.

5.0 out of 5 stars Keeps Getting More Entertaining!

Wow! This third book upped the stakes of this series, putting its characters in more danger than ever before. With its sinister schemes and dangerous secrets plaguing the grounds of the academy, Harper and her men have no choice but to uncover the truth, hoping their meddling doesn't attract more danger than they’re trying to prevent. As the third entry in this series, this book acts as a transition from the MC’s innocent academy days and into a more complicated adulthood, taking readers on a journey filled with deadly conflict, teasing heat, and more ancient mysteries that beg to be solved. As always, a list of trigger warnings is included at the end of my review on Goodreads.

Much like the previous title, the plot in this book picks up right where the last left off, maintaining a quick pace and planting seeds for both the main plot, and also for the overall series as a whole. With more mysterious happenings going on, this book was hard to put down; it kept my attention throughout all the different POVs as I tried to learn the truth along with the characters, never giving too much away to keep the suspenseful atmosphere high. Though I think the author did a fantastic job with writing this entire book, I have to shout out the climax! It was my favourite in the series yet, and I’m so excited to read the next books to see how everything is resolved.

The romances in this book picked up significantly from the previous books, adding more heat to the plot and laying the foundations for more intimate relationships as the series progresses. The shared feelings of support and understanding between the MC and her men are still present, making for a natural transition into more without any miscommunication between the group. It should also be mentioned that the MC is finally a legal adult in the book at about 80% in, meaning anything further that happens within this magically connected group is between adults (though stuff does happen when she’s technically still a minor; check TWs for details). I’m excited to see more of this group of characters as they tackle both the dangers they face, and adjust to the new reality of the connection between them all.

If you like books with an intricate plot and a magically connected group of characters, give this series a shot!

Even though this book is centred around teenagers, it would suit older readers as well. Harper is a strong witch, even though she is only just learning. It is a slow burn series. I am thoroughly enjoying it.

Well what can I say wow loved it and onto the next I go.
I do think this book was written hurriedly as noticed a few spelling mistakes, like Granger was changed to Grander think a read through before processing would be good.
