One of my favorite series, however buy the books individually.
So, as i said, this is one of my favorite series by far. Bettina is my favorite member of the coven. However when i bought this it was advertised as all the individual books put into a box set. But when i got it it was all of them added into one massive book. Irritated but i decided to let it go. Now i actually sat down and started reading threw it instead of on yhe kindle and got to page 686 and it literally goes from that to page 707 on the next. Somehow, no idea how it even happened, but when it was printed they left out 21 whole pages. How the bloody hell does that go unnoticed. I was planning on buying all the books individually anyways but now i no longer have any other options. What the hell.

    Seriously if I have to hear the word "fisted" one more time.......would have been fine if it was just one character or somethings ng but characters never grabbed,grasped, or clutches Everytime it was fisted- fisted his shirt, fisted her hair, etc. just way overused. Also scrubbed the face. Why is everyone scrubbing their face so much? Do they have skin left? Otherwise pretty fine read, definitely feels young adult but entertaining enough and a fun couple days.

I found myself looking for even brief moments to keep listening and if I wasn't listening I was thinking about the story or the characters.     This series was a bundle of twists and turns. Emotions all over the place. Meeting new characters and catching up with old ones. Bettina finds out she is a witch after her best friends leaves. She goes to school for witches and gets sorted into the warrior suit. She feels so out of place, it does not help that the best student in her suit treats her like a leper. As she gets better at fighting she gets chosen to help Jackson on an important quest. Thing go from bad to complicated to worse the more time they spend together. When a soulmate glyph shows up on Jackson, Bettina's world get thrown for a loop. As more gets revealed, amd the depth of the connections become clear the evil Joseph makes things difficult for the Coven and all the members and friends therein.
    I would love to write more, but I don't want to give spoilers. I really enjoyed this book. I felt all the emotions and was captivated from the first page. I had read the first season of the Coven and was looking forward to this book series. Though the story is complete, we can tell that there is more to tell and I am looking forward to reading the next installment. I do appreciate that Tegan's story (season 1) was contained in one big compilation and that Bettina's( season 2) was also in a compilation. Each individual book had abrupt endings, but in one big volume it read more like chapters. Hoping season 3 will be offered the same way.
    I also must say that the foreshadowing was intense and even with it, there were a few surprises.
    Would recommend to those who like stories about witches and magic.

    There are some books out there that you read once and never again. And then there are books; stories, that you read over and over and over again.

    Chantelle Lavaun’s books both “The Coven:Acandemt Magic” and “The Coven: Elemental Magic” are two such books - or groups of books that solidly belong in the later.

    I first read “The Coven:Elemental Magic” only a year and a half ago at the insistence of my sister. And, to put it bluntly, I fell in love. The universe, characters and story line of this set of books were absolutely captivating and I couldn’t wait to read the next set - “The Coven Academy Magic” .

    I first borrowed the books via y Unlimited, then purchased them via Kindle before finally buying the physical copy. And then purchased again to gift to a dear friend who also enjoys a good book.

    The characters are believable - human and ordinary like you and me for the most part. The world is exciting — scenes from various states in the USA and areas of France and England that are well described, realistic and yet fantasy all at the same time. The plot line incorporates real live, timed events yet puts a complete fantasy-based spin on them so that they exist somewhere between the world of believable reality and other-worldly fantasy which is whilst believable because of the blend of the two. The characters could be me or you regardless of our education, life stories, colour, creed or persuasion. Completely believable blend of fantasy, adventure and romance all wrapped into one.

    In a year and a half, I have read these books over and over again and they have found their way into my heart. - David Eddings “The Belgariad”, Anne McCaffrey, and even Tolkien — make way, for this author for she is every bit as good.

    I was having a hard time getting into/crabbed by new books for half a year.
    But.... then I found these and I found myself wanting to read again. :)
    Why? Because I like the story and wanted to know how it would all turn out.
    It is not very well written to be very honest. "She/he fisted his shirt/her hair" and "Tennessee cursed" are frases you will read a lot lol
    But again, the story is very captivating. And I've bought all the other books as well.
