I Love Ivy’s strength and love for her mates. There is some trauma and losses they all have to work through. This is a polyamorous why choose series.     The pacing of this one was a little too slow for me that I had to struggle bus through it. I also dislike everything happening off page. The information we learn of Ivy’s past is kinda annoying for me bc I didn’t want to be reading something with a whole demigoddess trope thing. I suspect that this is far from over but the pacing was just too slow for my taste and very similar to the previous book which I had an issue with pacing and how much time was spent doing nothing. I dislike when that happens. Overall I think the concept is good and I do want to know what happens to the characters but it’s pretty difficult for me to get through. I feel like it’s part me being able to predict a lot of the things happening and it’s annoying when books don’t delve deeper into why things are happening. Idk Ivy just felt a little too complacent for an Alpha.

One moment your laughing at the comments from Ivy and her men and the next your angry with the situation they were having to go through and deal with and then almost numb at that ending. It was one hell of a cliffhanger and most will probably throw their reading devices and curse Maya for this like I did lol. But it will definitely be worth it for the next book to see what happens.     5 stars - less than a day to read because I cannot put it down. I only give 5 stars if it has managed to engage extra emotions from me - extreme lol moments or real teary moments etc. A 5 stars book tends to have me raging about cliff hangers and (legally and not creepily) stalking the author for release dates.

    4 stars - 2 days to read or less. A book that I have quite enjoyed reading, feisty MC and some racy scenes with thier romantic interest. I would definitely follow a series and author for 4 star books.

    3 stars - takes around 2/3 days to read, usually because I have become distracted and less engaged in some sections but by the end the end I have enjoyed the overall story and would read any sequels.

    1/2 stars not given, as I have usually returned it without finishing as I'm not engaged. .
