- Reviewed in the United States on February 25, 2025A fun read with lots of twists and turns in the plot. Multiple times, the circumstances look bleak and then an unexpected event happens to get everything back on track. The culprit is a surprise till the very end and well worth waiting for. Enjoy!

- Reviewed in the United States on January 24, 2025When it's time to start life fresh after her breakup and quitting her job, Olivia Glass is invited to spend the summer in Tuscany. It's a difficult decision but she goes for it. Her dream is to open a boutique winery and stay away from the rat race of advertising. When she gets a job as an apprentice sommelier at one the best boutique wineries in Tuscany, she's in heaven. Then the horrible chief sommelier who seems to hate is found dead in wine storage after screaming at her in public and causing he to lose her cool, she's at the top of the suspect list. With no allies except the owner of the vineyard, she sets out to find her own answers about the killer. It's rough going, but she persists. She has to, since her former employer is refusing to pay her. Great read.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 14, 2023It’s a fun story , but hard to believe. The main character, Olivia, breaks up with her boyfriend, quits her high-paying but stressful job, and goes to Italy to cool off.
She’s staying with a friend who has rented a villa for the summer. While there, she decides she’d like to have her own winery. She has no experience with making wine, just drinking it and marketing it (she was a highly paid advertising agent).
Soon she is involved with an established winery as an assistant sommelier. There’s a murder, an attractive employer, and ….
At any rate, it’s a good cozy mystery and entertaining if you can suspend reality checks.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 15, 2025First book in a series and a nice way to start. A successful ad campaign for a lousy wine Olivia quits her job and goes to Italy to spend the summer with a friend. Since she quit she discovers she has forfeited her bonus and back pay. Her dream is to have a small winery. Her first attempt at wine-making is a spectacular flop. With no income and a desire to learn more about wines she takes a job at a local winery and the story unfolds. Add in a wayward goat for fun and you have a sometimes funny but very engaging story.

2.0 out of 5 stars Cosy mystery
Não conhece a língua, italiano, não entende de vinhos, acaba, em dois minutos, sendo especialista na apresentação da casa, como se os italianos que produzem o vinho, não conseguissem viver sem ela.

5.0 out of 5 stars a lovely read to ignite the imagination
The descriptive wording sets the imagination alight. I felt I was in the Tuscan countryside tasting the delicious wine’s mentioned. There was a sense of belonging and future romance on its way for Olivia and Marcello. A great cozy mystery read for fans

2.0 out of 5 stars Average story
The story contains too much details about earlier events, of wine making etc covering almost half book, after which main story starts. A rather poorly written novel.
