    This was a nicely written, beautiful bear shifter romance. The characters were very well defined with secondary characters that were very likeable (except for the villain, of course). I loved the way that Jasper was eventually dealt with, however, I was hoping that the first plan to handle Jasper would have worked since I felt that it should have been discovered by others what an evil creep he was. I enjoyed this story and I ended the book with a heart warming feeling inside. Curious to read the next book. =)

    The Alpha Bear in this romance wants more out of a life nearly destroyed by the son of a powerful family. He's shocked when he finally starts to receive it. First, very unexpectedly an alluring sweet smell leads him to a brawl, as he fought to save a drugged Omega. An Omega that turned out to be his mate. The erotic charge when the two mates meet was off the charts. Something they express with regularity.

    The Bear's small rental house was not a home until his mate moved in. His mate was a very loving and grateful young man, at being rescued by his big rugged Bear. They were blissfully happy with good friends until a nemesis from the past who threatened to snatch it all away. An enraged Bear was determined not to let go of the wonderful life he was building with his mate.

    I voluntarily received an advanced copy of this book. I've read all of Aspen's book and I'm loving the bears. This was a sweet story. Preston forced out a city he had a life in by the towns jerk Jasper. Spreading the rumor that he tried to rape Jasper was a lie but the town was scared of that family so he left.

    Kenneth is a virgin who lost his parents suddenly. Not wanting to leave Austin a virgin he heads to R7, the gay club in town. While having a drink an Alpha sits next to him trying to get his attention. Kenneth not interested decides to go to the bathroom to avoid him. Deciding to leave, he heads back to the bar, finishes his drink, pays then leaves. Once outside one guy is calling after him, heading back inside to use the back exit, Kenneth thinking he's safe starts to feel weird. One second he's standing and the next he's on the ground. Three shadows are around him, one if them Jasper.

    Preston gets a smell that is so enticing that he can't just leave. Heading towards the smell he sees Jasper and the body of the smell on the ground. Seeing Jasper unfasten his pants he goes into protective mode.

    Escaping the goons, Preston knows this is only the beginning. But he's not letting anyone touch his fated mate.

    A must read. If you read the Scarlet Mountain series, you will enjoy this one too.

    5 stars and 10 flames. This book was absolutely incredible as I've come to expect from this author. Every book she writes mesmerizes me and keeps me in trance until the words, The End!

    A quick read with that insta-shifter love we all know and love. Preston had been living a lonely life for 8 years because of the disgusting alpha that's family held so much power. After turning Jasper down, he tried to roofie him. When it didn't work he lied and told everyone Preston tried to rape him and smeared his name, running him out of town.

    Well on a routine trip to drop off the produce from the farm he catches that scent that can't be ignored, the scent of your fated mate. He follows and quickly finds Kenneth in the evil grip of Jasper. He refuses to let Jasper take anything else from him and fights for his mate.

    When they get back to Preston's, it doesn't take long to heat up to a 5 alarm fire! This book was worth every second that I remained glued to the words that kept me in a trance. I can't wait for book 2. This series is going to be amazing!

    Alpha Bear shifter Preston had been pursued Jasper another alpha bear shifter from a rich Austin family and when he refused his advances he had been given a roofie but had managed to escape. In revenge Jasper had spreads it about that Preston had done it to him and tried to rape him all the while stalking Preston. It got so bad that Preston when to live and work on a property outside Austin. Years later he is delivering produce when he smells an attractive scent and when he investigates he find a scene that echoes his experience. Jasper and two of his beta stooges attacking and omega who has been drugged and who was the source of the scent which was telling Preston this was his mate. Preston fights them of rescues the omega and takes him home with him to recover. Preston know it is unlikely that Jasper will leave them be. A MM shifter romance to relax and enjoy.

    Dropped the book after 29% because... no... just no!

    Eight years ago Preston, an alpha bear, got falsely accused by his ex boyfriend of raping him. Since then he worked as a farmhand and the first question I have here: as it seems everyone believed the lie except the farmer he works for. Of course that's great but I seriously wonder why that is? Was it because they have history? Or maybe the farmer doesn't believe him either and let's him work there because... I don't know...? How about a little background story in the beginning???

    And then Kenneth... that guy is just so stupid it hurts. First, he goes to a bar and meets Preston's ex boyfriend there who is really persistent with him. In order to get him off his back he goes to the bathroom and leaves his drink behind. When he comes back said ex boyfriend is gone but his drink is still there and guess what? Yes, he drinks it! *facepalm* Sorry but that guy is 22 and no one is that stupid anymore nowadays right? At least I hope so...

    But the reason I stopped the whole thing came later on. I love a good insta-love story but this one here went WAY over the top lol
    After Preston's ex tried to rape Kenneth as well (of course he got roofied, SURPRISE~) he was rescued by Preston himself and taken home. There they realize they are fated mates and after maybe five minutes into their first "hot" encounter Preston suddenly says "You know what I'm going to do now? I'm going to put a baby in you."

    Uhm.... I'm out. Ciao!
