This book is a great gift for 2 young boys: one 5 the other 10 months, and the 5 year old loved it-the story was good and he liked that he “learned stuff” and liked the story. The 10 month old loved the illustrations. I greatly suggest this book for the lessons, illustrations and it’s a good story for little ones. Looking forward to the next book by Lesley Cordell!

- Reviewed in the United States on October 1, 2021This is a cute little picture book about a cloud that falls in love with the sun, and does his best to get close to her and give her gifts. The illustrations are vibrant and fun and the personalities of the four winds were a lovely touch. I love how it seamlessly weaves in the water cycle into this sweet little story. I read it to my 5yo and my 3yo, and they both said they liked it a whole lot. Super eager to share this in our little free library, and definitely recommend for the 3-7 age group!

5.0 out of 5 stars Granddaughter loved it
A clever little book for young children, with educational content wrapped up in a charming storyline. The illustrations are beautiful and the text is engaging - just at the right level for my 7 year old granddaughter to read. Highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Entertaining, Educational and Heart-warming.
Angus loves the sun’s warmth and wants to be closer to her. We follow the endearing little cloud on his journey as he asks the four winds for help. He learns that sometimes getting what you want isn’t always the best thing.
This is a great tool for teaching your children about the water cycle, rainbows, and the compass.
I can’t recommend this book enough. It is a very cleverly written little gem, and a book you can’t help but “aww” at.

5.0 out of 5 stars Cleverly cute, cutely clever
Of course the bold, fun illustrations are what first catch the eye but this is a clever book and much more than that. The text tells a cute story, for sure but, in keeping with current thinking, the author uses full-on vocabulary which will both educate and require parent and child to engage in conversation about all sorts. There's always room for the books which children come to recite and parents tease by getting wrong: I don't think this will be one of those but it WILL be one that children come back to again and again to enjoy the illustrations and remind themselves of the science. Terrific. Very clever.
