Praise for Run Away Baby:

I thought Run Away Baby was an amazing book, it captured my attention immediately. I felt I was sitting in front of any of my clients over the years hearing her story. Holly Tierney-Bedord captured the true nature of power and control brilliantly. She showed that it doesn't just happen to poor or disabled women. Most importantly, she showed how easy it is to want to ignore your intuition when someone offers you away out, often leading women into another abusive relationship. She has a fan! Can't wait to read the rest of her books.

-- Melanie Hooker

Executive Director

Domestic Violence Coalition, Inc.

In a life of abuse and isolation, escape can seem impossible. In Run Away Baby, Abby finds her hero in a most unexpected place...the mirror.

-- Tracey Osborne, Daring Woman ~ daringwomaninc.com

(In Run Away Baby, Holly Tierney-Bedord)..."illustrated well how domestic abuse (physical, mental and emotional) cuts across all economic classes and how truly challenging it is for these women to escape their abuser."

-- Jane, JLWOS

This book was unpredictable. ...This was a great thriller and a very fast-paced read. The premise of the book was fascinating. I would recommend it!

-- Elizabeth of Chick Lit Chickadees

I have to congratulate Holly for being brave enough to cover the theme of domestic violence within this story.Holly has portrayed a very realistic relationship between the characters with compassion and accuracy.

This is one of those books that I am praying becomes a movie because I would definitely go to watch it. Abby is a likeable and I felt invested in her from the very beginning. Although she is a trophy wife, she remains genuine and humble throughout.

Although the scene of violence made me uncomfortable, the reader instantly becomes aware of the need for Abby to be away from the situation. Holly has done a superb job of integrating this scene delicately but also in a way that makes it realistic.

-- Little Miss Book Lover 87

Praise for Surviving Valencia:

"Just as you settle into the quiet, wrenching character study, you bank sharply into your first twist, then a turn - as secrets from the past zoom into suspenseful danger in the present. The twists keep turning until the very last chapter, making the read both satisfying and chilling! I cannot recommend Surviving Valencia highly enough."

--Geralyn Corcillo, author of Queen of the Universe

"At first I thought the book was a bit strange, but I soon began to fall in love with this young girl. ...It was a very well written story and was a very good read."

--Stormi of Boundless Book Reviews

"...I didn't want to put it down."

--RebeccaBookReview

"...I am so glad I discovered this book."

Ms. Tierney-Bedford takes us into the world of Reality TV and what happens in front of and behind the TV cameras in this fast paced novel.
We meet Emma Van Elson, who has been following Bellamy Timberfrosts journey from bachelor to proposal. The world, and Emma watch in horror when the love of Bellamy's life turns down his proposal. With the help of her good friend and neighbor Pete, Emma submits her video resume for the following seasons show, Bellamy's Redemption.
In no time at all, Emma finds herself one of the women selected for the Reality TV show, just when another romance enters her life. Does she go on TV to find out if she can win Bellamy's heart, or does she stay home and follow her heart? With tick marks in the Pro and Con columns, she follows the path that leads her to Bellamy's door. Travelling the world and receiving decadent gifts is just too much for her to resist.
The bitchy conflicts and exaggerated characters who are competing with Emma for Bellamy's affection are absolutely entertaining. These highly dramatized incursions seem (sadly) believable, making this book an absolutely engaging read. But when faced with reality, what does Emma ultimately decide?
    I highly recommend this book.

Wow! This is my FAVORITE kind of book - a romantic comedy where the comedy is a combination of hilarious situations and brilliant writing, and the romance is subtle and so satisfying. Some of the situations Emma gets herself into on the show are so hilarious I found myself laughing hard hours later just thinking about them. And Tierney-Bedord's witty and well-timed humor makes every page a delight to read. And the romance - satisfying romantic moments punctuate Emma's hilarious journey, and Tierney-Bedord keeps you guessing until the awesome ending. And the best part? IT NEVER GETS BORING. I don't even like reality shows, bu t every new twist and turn in this book was a joy to read. WHAT a great read! I HIGHLY recommend - what a wonderful romantic comedy!

This was a fun light book, perfect for a lazy weekend. The plot has been explained a number of times, but here we go again. Emma decides to leave her job, her friends and the cute neighbor, Pete, who has just become a little more than a friend, to try her luck on a reality show to see if Bellamy will chose her as his bride. She isn't sure if she really wants to be chosen by the dreamy heartthrob, Bellamy, but she's been watching his previos show and thinks she might actully be a little in love with him. She really wants the adventures promised by the show -- the travel, the glamor, and perhaps finding her one true love -- but it doesn't take long for the fun to wear off, and the reality of her decisions end up sitting like a rock in her heart.

The competing frmale characters swing between hilarious and teeth-grittingly obnoxious, and Emma quickly gets as sick of them as I did. Although Emma was the main character, she never seemed all that real to me and the book felt like it lacked something. I wanted to like Emma and feel a connection with her, but I never quite got there. Her competitors on the show felt like caricatures rather than characters, even by reality show standards.

The book was a nice light read, but I kept hoping for more, and it left me feeling somewhat dissatisfied. It felt like the literary equivalent of eating a donut; it was light and sweet but left me wishing I'd eaten something more substantial. It's not a bad book, I just hoped it would be better.

Book included no graphic sex and little to no profanity. There is one spot where you know that sex takes place, but the details are left to your imagination.

This was a book that at first I was thinking "is this author for real?". The characters seemed really stiff and the sentence structure really didn't flow very well, but I decided to stick it out and read it through to the end. It was enjoyable, the characters developed some what - I can't say that I was too surprised by the outcome of the book, but found it to be an amusing ending. Well worth the 3-4 hours of time it took to read it.

This book is just plain fun, a total indulgence. It's like watching a reality show from the inside-out. You're backstage, you're on camera, you're a member of the outraged audience. As an interior designer, I loved the way spaces in the story come alive ... and I especially appreciated the sardonic commentary on Bellamy's family home. I didn't love the way Emma left things with her employer and her clients, but I don't necessarily think it was unrealistic. The girl had some growing up to do, and over the course of the story she learns some things. All in all, I loved the book and definitely want to read more by Holly Tierney-Bedord!

Enjoyed the story about the behind the scenes of a reality show. Emma made me laugh out loud with her thoughts of the routines and the other girls on the show. The talking to herself, well she's not the only one. Great read and one you can sure bits with others when you snort/laugh out loud.

When Bellamy is not selected as the winner of a reality show, because of his popularity, he gets his turn with his own show. When Emma and her friends see that Bellamy will have his own show, Emma decides to apply. Before she leaves for California, she realizes that she has feelings for her neighbor Pete and he may feel the same feelings. Contestants are sent home, then brought back. Bellamy and Emma are just friends, then they aren't. Pete is waiting for her call, then he isn't. So who will Emma end up with, and who will Bellamy chose? Holly Tierney-Bedford keeps you guessing to the end!
