    I can’t believe Gemma and Isaiah’s story is already over. Book two had me just as engrossed as the first book. I loved everything about it.

    We finally got answers to a lot of the questions and secrets from book one. We also learned how Gemma and Isaiah’s lives are so intertwined. The twists and turns were so good.

    The chemistry between Gemma and Isaiah is everything. Even when they tried to keep their distance, you could still feel it. They are both so protective and caring of each other. I’m glad they finally got to be happy, they both deserve it.

    Also, I adore the secondary characters. I’m looking forward to Cade and Journey’s story next. 💙

    The second part of the duet starts exactly where we left
    off being in the hands of Isaiah’s father. Let me tell you this book didn’t stop from page one. The twists, turns, and revelations that were coming out! I had a predicted a couple things that came out! And the bomb drop at 66% I called it in the first book!

    Loved Isaiah and Gemma so much! When his vulnerability showed, oh man! And my heart hurts for all Gemma has gone through! But that girl got some fire in her in this book and she fought! But Isaiah was there fighting with/for her along the way! I loved when both their walls came down!

    I never really write reviews because I don’t really see any point, but this book was so captivating that I had to! I can not express how much I fell in love with this book. This is one of the very few books that actually make me feel something for what happens in it and the characters. I’m not much of a fan for like innocent, naive, good girl books because they usually just get on my nerves for some reason, but this was so extremely good. I have no words! I’m saddened that Isaiah and Gemma’s story comes to an end, but I know there will be other books in this series that will have them in it. I usually hate reading other characters books in the same setting after I’ve finished the first one because it usually just doesn’t feel the same to me, but I’m so excited to read Cades and Journeys. That’s how good this whole reading experience has been for me. Hands down, one of THE best books I’ve ever read.

    Better than the first. We finally get into what the first book took FOREVER to build up to. The pace was much more engaging and interesting to read. However the ending was lackluster and I would have liked it to be fleshed out a little more. I know the author has plans to revisit this world with other characters, but I haven't decided yet if I will be reading those. Not at the top of my recommendation list, but not horrible.

    This duet was pretty good..there were a few timeline issues that took me out of the story a little bit (like something happening at night at the end of one chapter, then the start of a new chapter being a brand new day....then later on in that chapter saying things like "tonight" when it was actually at least the night before, if not several nights..not the worst by any means, but annoying) but nothing so distracting that I couldn't finish. I think I may have liked book 2 better than book 1 since I read it faster, but that's possibly because I was excited to see Isaiah and Gemma get their happily ever after. Isaiah was a DREAM. The way he felt about Gemma, the way she broke down his tough exterior, but only for her..ugh, that is my favorite thing. A bad boy who's only mushy for the girl he loves.😍 can't wait to read about Journee and Cade!

    Pleased to say I was able to read the second instalment much more quickly because I don’t think I could have waited to find out what was in store for these characters.

    The emotion and drama continues in book 2 and my heart continued to break for both Isaiah and Gemma - especially Gemma 😢. Believe me when I say, it gets much worse before it gets better. I must again say how unbelievably strong Gemma’s character is to go through everything she does and remain such a good hearted person.

    The suspense elements are nicely tied up and we get the answers to our unanswered questions regarding Richard and Carlisle (the devils of this story 😡). I liked that it wasn’t all tied up in one or two quick chapters but was written beautifully and didn’t feel rushed. It had the conclusion it deserved after two books of building it up. Of course it’s sad and VERY dark, but we do eventually get a HEA.

    One thing I didn’t mention in my review of the first book was the amazing secondary characters. I am looking forward to one in particular but if I say who it will give BIG spoilers for this book.
