    I give this book one star because I would not have my own grandchildren read it. The story is about fear and distrust, with no redeeming bad-guy-gets-it outcome. In fact it encourages seeing others as untrustworthy. I feel this is just not appropriate for young children. These stories do not embrace love, honor or loyalty. They do not encourage positive values in children. I strongly encourage parents to read the excerpt and decide for yourself.
