    Truly a page turner, I am happy Mac finally found closure in this book, however, like Mac, I was somewhat disappointed that the reason for all these deaths and madness was not from some major conspiracy involving her father but was from some delusions and paranoia of one man. I am glad Ellington stood by his love and partner through out this book. I can’t wait for the next chapter in Mac’s life!

    Blake Pierce does shine when it comes to developing characters, minor and otherwise. It seems a little like he's inundating us with an overabundance of main characters BUT one does not have to binge-read every series as I have done. His plots are seemingly well thought out and riveting. I strongly suspect that one of the reasons I like these books so much is because of the strength of the main characters, female every one. I do not read these stories for the romantic interest but I did become interested in one such pairing only to have the male killed off. I didn't like that at all as I had a little emotional investment in that couple.
    I wonder if Mr Pierce is self-published. I know very little about this market but I will state this without a doubt - he needs a better editor! I've spotted some glaring mistakes and they make Blake Pierce appear under educated which is a shame.
    To end on a positive note however, I do enjoy his stories very much and will continue to read them as long as he continue to write them.
