Below Zero: An International FBI Thriller (Ingrid Skyberg Book 5) Kindle Edition

4.2 out of 5 stars 1,475 ratings

Stockholm is under siege. A bomb has exploded, several public figures have been kidnapped and the city is on lockdown.

Unfortunately for Special Agent Ingrid Skyberg, everything is kicking off the day she arrives to complete a dangerous undercover assignment. Her mission is so secret, and so illegal, neither the FBI nor the US government know about it. Her instructions are simple: no ID, no credit cards, no trace. If Ingrid ends up in jail, or floating face down in the harbor, there can be no way of identifying her.

Set in the snowy landscapes of a Swedish winter,
Below Zero finds the FBI’s most dogged agent on the wrong side of the law and on the run. Using all her knowledge and training to evade capture, Ingrid is forced to break the rules again and again just to stay alive.

Unlock the thrills and twists of this up-all-night crime thriller series. Below Zero is 5th Ingrid Skyberg thriller, but the novels can be read in any order.

Amazing character! This book moves quickly and keeps your attention from start to finish. Fun, easy read that you can get through quickly.

The author's knowledge of firearms: "cocked the safety" (presumably she meant cocked the hammer), "semi-automatic machine gun" (an oxymoron, since a machine gun is fully automatic)--is consistent with her misunderstanding of US and European aggression in Syria. It is unfortunate that main-stream authors must agree with the government propaganda. Also, she should know that DNA analysis on hair cuttings is not possible; only hairs with the follicle attached can be used. Otherwise a very nice novel.

I'm not going to write much. Bravo on finishing Eva Hudson's book.
This book is about a very dangerous undercover assignment that FBI Agent Ingrid Skyberg is forced into as a repayment to someone for having covered up for her in a previous assignment that involved people having been killed.
This book is so intense with action in Sweden. Hang on to your seat, it's fast paced you will have a hard time realizing it all takes place in just a few days. Enjoying reading this book.

So I think this book gets a little carried away with the action so that it's non stop but a least it keeps you entertained and keeps you reading

It took me a few pages of reading before being pulled in to this story. But once involved in it, it was hard to put down!

There is so much going on here, with spy intrigue, constant surveillance, wardrobe changes, kidnappings, shootings, escaping, all while staying under cover. Whew!!!

    I liked Below Zero!!!

Perhaps I thought the early story was moving a bit slowly, but when she is kidnapped it's a non-stop train ride.
There are some spots I question, like how she just happened to go in a certain direction at random while escaping and yet find who she was looking for. What happened to the tracker?
Normally, I don't enjoy stories in Europe because of the dialect, but this was written for Americans, it seemed.
Extra credit for a good story by a female author and she didn't feel the need to add a sex scene for the romance. Believe me, there's no romance here.
Nobody gets shot by her, she uses tradecraft and nerves of steel.
    Yes, I'll look for more.

5.0 out of 5 stars Ingrid Skyberg Series
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on January 16, 2019
After reading book one,a free download I was hooked by Ingrid and have followed the series up to Book 6. These are well written and constructed tales with lots of twists to the plots. Ingrid develops as a person as the books progress laying to rest some of her private demons along the way. Can highly recommend to future readers and personally am living in hopes of a book seven as Ingrid is left very much at a crossroads in her professional and private life. Excellent reads

4.0 out of 5 stars Well Worth the Wait
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on December 12, 2016
The latest Ingrid Skyberg story is quite a departure from the previous tales which are all set in London. Now, Ingrid is in Sweden, on her own, without support or back-up and has to dig deep to find the inner reserves which will allow her to survive against an implacable enemy and the bitter cold. I found it hard to put this book down as I always wanted to find out what was happening next - mostly unpredictable. It's a cliche, I know, but this book a real page turner and would be a perfect present this winter.
