M. B. Feeney is an army brat who finally settled down in Birmingham, UK with her other half, two kids and a dog. She often procrastinates by listening to music of all genres and trying to get ‘just one more paragraph’ written on whichever WIP is open; she is also a serious doodler and chocoholic. Writing has been her one true love ever since she could spell, and publishing is the final culmination of her hard work and ambition.

Her publishing career began with two novellas, and she currently has multiple projects under way, in the hopes that her portfolio of what have been described as “everyday love stories for everyday people” will continue to grow. Always having something on the go can often lead to block which eventually gets dissolved by good music and an even better book.

Her main reason for writing is to not only give her readers enjoyment, but also to create a story and characters that stay with readers long after the book is finished, and possibly make someone stop and think “what if … ”

    What a fun, sexy 2nd chance/enemies to lovers romance. I love the characters and their banter. The author has defined the storyline and the characters so well that I felt like I was right there with them on their trip across the country. I loved her witty, sexy way with words - I read the book through in one setting as I just had to know what was going to happen next with this fun couple.

    The story has it all…. It’s funny, sexy, heartwarming and heartbreaking. The plot is very realistic as it deals with things I am quite sure people have gone through. I know I have experienced several of the things that go on in this book. But the dialog between Lucy and Jenson keep me laughing, hurting as the drove together on a long trip across country heading to Lucy’s best friend's wedding (the bride also happens to be Jenson’s sister). These two have a past 6 years ago during their high school years. The past left Lucy heartbroke and hating Jenson. But during the 6 year gap, both have gone on and made a life for themselves. But is it the life they are meant to lead?

    2 Thumbs UP and 5 Stars - I highly recommend Her Best Friends Brother. It’s an easy, fun, enjoyable read that I highly recommend reading - you won’t be sorry you did.

    Lucy has always had a crush on her best friends older brother but felt she shouldn’t act upon it. One summer they shared a swoon-worthy kiss that both refuse to acknowledge.

    Now her best friend is getting married and Lucy wants to transport a special gift for her across the country. After her plans fall through with her boyfriend, Lucy finds herself at the mercy of her old crush.

    Jenson saw a moment which changed a lifetime. He has always had feelings for Lucy but felt he should because she was her little sister best friend.

    One car, one road trip and two people who are struggling to face the truth. What’s the worst that could happen?

    This book has me laughing. It was cute, fun and swoon-worthy. I really enjoyed this story.

    My favourite quote: ‘Jenson couldn’t tell if any feelings Lucy had were still there, but it was going to be the only fun he would have on the trip.
    Starting with making her wait while he took his shirt off, despite being fully dressed when she started to hammer on his motel room door.’

    This is a pretty typical best friends brother romance. I remember reading this a while ago and it is just as I remember. I recommend this if you want a semi quick and simple ready that isn’t too too emotional. Definitely an underrated book!

    This is the first book I've read by M.B. Feeney and I'm so glad that I gave her work a chance. I read this story in one sitting and loved how the storyline developed as Lucy and Jenson travel to the wedding. There were some moments that had me chuckling and others that had me hoping this couple wouldn't let others get in the way of their feelings for each other. Her Best Friend's Brother is a book that you can lose yourself in and it would be perfect to read on the beach, snuggled up on the couch or relaxing in bed - in fact, anywhere would be perfect as you'll soon forget about life around you when you join Lucy and Jenson on their journey. This story is a recommended read!

    Her Best Friend's Brother is my first read by M.B. Feeney and it is a perfect read that sent tingles up my spine. There are moments that had me laughing out loud and then some that tugged at my heartstrings.

    Lucy Duncan is lucky to have a best friend that shared family trips and years of memories with. Now, her best friend is getting married which calls for a road trip. Lucy's plans change and she will no longer be accompanied on the road by her boyfriend of six years. The bride steps in and assigns her brother to drive Lucy to the wedding. This brings up old memories and feelings that have been hidden for years. Lucy is now on a three thousand mile road trip with her first crush and the thoughts of a long relationship where she has always been second place to his career.

    Jenson Phillips held how he felt about his sister's best friend a secret, many years later now they are both heading to the person that matters most in their lives wedding. The one woman he could never shake is sitting in the passenger seat and she still is forbidden. The moment she lets down her guard and all that stands in front of them he takes his chance on one heated road trip that could bring them together or tear them apart forever.

    I really enjoyed this second chance romance. Jenson and Lucy had me falling in love and cheering them on. Their chemistry is heated but their love isn't easy and they will have to find a way to make it work. I recommend this book Her Best Friend's Brother is so worth the read.

    This book has taken me a while to read while I’ve been working on my own things. However now that I have finally finished it I’m glad it took me so long.

    It gave me a chance to savour the story as a whole. Who wouldn’t want what Lucy and Jenson have in the story.

    It was a real touch the heart kind of romance, where unrequited love won and blossomed into something so perfect.

    Thank you Mich for sharing this story with us all...your books always make me emotional but in a good way. If I can cry along with the characters in a book that I’m reading then it has done its job.

    I loved this book, so well written, full of raw emotion, and passion. It tells the story of Lucy and her best friends brother Jenson, the love she had held in her heart for him for the past six years but wouldn't do anything about it in case it upset her best friend, unbeknown to her he felt the same way.

    Her best friend was now getting married and Lucy had to transport her gift, one of her paintings from LA to Boston, and Megan suggested that she travelled with Jenson, could her heart take the four-day drive with him so close, but she agreed anyway.

    I loved Lucy's speech at the wedding, it was emotional talking about Megan and Elliot, but also about herself and Jenson, it came straight from her heart hoping he would hear what she was saying.

We get angst, lol moments, some spice and some very sweet moments. A very good first read for me from MB Feeney! ❤️❤️

    Such a warm feel good book. Love the tension and heart throbbing romance...little anticlimactic with Matthew after how awful he was to her he well shouldve got beat up but oh well. I hope Chris got his happy ending, just to say this so much had reverse harem potential.
