Gay Rom-Com
♥ Opposites Attract
♥ MM Series

Flower deliveryman and aspiring novelist Matthew Darcy never expected to become the object of anyone’s affection, let alone attract the attention of someone like billionaire Calvin Croft. In fact, two men couldn’t live more different lives than Matt and Cal. But romance has a magical way of making opposites attract.

Matthew Darcy is a romance writer in a rut. He’s been stuck on Chapter One of his new book for as long as he can remember, and so has his love life. But when his on-the-side job as a flower delivery guy puts him in the right place at the right time to save the life of billionaire banker Calvin Croft, Matt’s life takes an unexpected detour toward romance.

With billions to his name, Cal Croft has everything… except someone to love. But is Cal’s paparazzi-pursued life something that Matt is willing to take a chance on? Can a struggling romance writer who delivers flowers for a living possibly have anything in common with a handsome billionaire with his own Learjet? And could the secret that Cal’s keeping tear these two lovers apart—just when their romance begins to blossom?

The Billionaire's Boyfriend is the first in a series of gay romantic-comedies titled My Billionaire. It is a 50k-word laugh-out-loud story with a HEA ending and no cliffhangers. Expect to be swept off your feet with a fairytale romance, two lead characters who are destined to be together, and a zany cast of support characters to keep you smiling.

OK. Who in the hell DOESN'T want to fall head first into a passionate love affair with a billionaire? And who in the hell WOULDN'T think they were out of their mind to think this was actually happening? Hell, even the dessert from their first meal was too romantic to be believed.

I laughed so hard I damn near cried during Cal and Matt's first love scene or at least their first ATTEMPT at a love scene. I've never had a more delightful introduction to a more enjoyable set of characters. I must admit that after hearing several of Matt's neighbors describe Cal's um… 'man-of-war' I felt teary-eyed sad for Matt that their sexual encounter had to be postponed. However, it was all in a good and highly hilarious cause and the interlude which Matt eventually got with sexy billionaire Cal proved to be well worth waiting for.

I was as excited and as nervous as Matt about his budding relationship with Cal. First, because I immediately fell in love with both these men and wanted them to find happiness together. Second, because both have such kind and loving hearts and seemed so isolated and lonely. And third because both seemed to desperately need what the other had to give. But this kind of magical romance doesn't REALLY happen! Does it? Talk about taking a risk! Talk about too good to be true! I wouldn't have believed it either if I'd been Matt. I've been in those relationships where you just know you're going to get your heart broken because you couldn't possibly deserve THIS kind of happiness.

But Lordy, if this relationship didn't turn out to be a dream that actually did come true! I mean when a handsome, sexy, sweet billionaire invites you to have dinner with him in ROME, in Rome, ITALY, you have to figure he's really serious. Or at least well on the way.

It's not all smooth sailing for these two and I was frustrated as hell when things began to fall apart. No, no, no! I want these guys to be together! I read through those pages as though my Kindle was on fire. I couldn't WAIT to get to the next paragraph, the next page, the next chapter!

I won't tell you what happened. I'll let you read for yourself, which you WILL if you have any sense. But the ending to this book melted my heart in ways I didn't know were possible. I've already purchased the sequel and can't wait to walk another mile… or two… or twenty with Matt and Cal. If ever two men deserved the love and happiness they found with each other, it's these two.

This is the kind of book that I love and adore. It is romance at its purest! It's sweet and gentle and loving while still being as hot and sexy as anyone could want. It doesn’t leave the love out of the love scene… it celebrates it with every word. Add to that the fact that this book is delightfully hilarious and chock full of characters who will both break your heart and fill it with joy… and you've got story which is damned hard to beat. This book is 5 STARS and then some! Highly, highly recommended.

This was a first time author for me and I have no doubt I will read others written. This was a quick read with loads of lol and swoonworthy moments. A quirky found family with one member Matt saving the life of a billionaire changing his life in one moment. Great characters low angst with just the right amount of steamy times.

Started out cute. The characters were OTT in the best ways. I liked Matt and Cal.

What I didn't like was the way the chapters were put together. Some went on for ages while the last one was like 2 paragraphs. It was strange for pacing.

Another issue I had was with the whole Angus drama. Matt could have simply said, I overheard you on the phone talking to Angus so that's why I fled from your office. Then Cal could have said, I'm sorry for any misunderstandings but I'm not romantically involved with him and I will explain someday but not right now. Instead it all felt like gaslighting and I'm not sure what Matt had to be sorry about. In the end it worked out and I feel like this is an HEA. I don't need to read the next book for some more forced drama.

I laughed out loud to a lot of the one liners in the book. The group of characters blended well together. I feel like this is a book I can read over and over again. I love Matt and Cal.

I have read reader's reviews before downloading an e-book. I always read the 3-star reviews. I find that they tell me what they didn't like as much as what they did. Then I can decide if what ticked them off would also put me off. Well, the 3-star reviews of The Billionaire's Boyfriend were all absolutely correct. It is low-key, extremely funny, wonderfully written tale and all the main characters are perfectly off-kilter and amusing! If you are looking for angst, pain, suffering, paranormal creatures or kink, look elsewhere. It is a true romance with people you want to spend time with. Even the speed bumps in the relationship had me worrying about the two MC's. They are a bit wacky, but if you have ever lived in New York, they are very real! I immediately have purchased the two subsequent books in the series and can't wait to start them.

The story was okay (suspending a LOT of disbelief). Billionaire Cal is saved from being run over by a trash truck by Matt while delivering flowers on his bike. That is the beginning of an adorable romance. HOWEVER, there is actually not a whole lot of interaction between MCs. Most of the books is about Matt and his found family of quirky neighbors.

I would have given a lower rating if it hadn’t been for the crazy antics of the side characters. Conversely, I might have given a higher rating if Matt and Cal had more ‘couple’ time. Oh well, it was cute. Though I was… irked by Cals response to Matt in Rome.

    *****
    POV… first person (Matt)

Standalone or series… book 1 in series CAN be read as a standalone

    Hangover… no

    Recommend… sure

I didn't think I would need tissues. But I did. I needed it to wipe the tears that pooled as I laughed at some scenes. The characters came alive for me. I loved Mr. Banks, Tilly, Angus, and Mrs. Mulroney. Secondary characters, yes, but they made Matt Darcy and his life fulfilling, uplifting, and funny.

I loved how the story began with a chance encounter. And that despite how almost crazy as it sounds, even though Cal and Matt took different paths in life, they had a spark that you feel when you first see them in the flower shop. It's not their first scene together; but, it's that moment that counts.

In the end, I had to use tissue when I arrived at the happily ever after moment.

Definitely a five star story. Define recommend.

This book is so much fun to read. The characters are hilariously funny, extremely likable, and kept me, as the reader, wonderfully entertained. The story moves at a fast pace, is never dull, and as the reader I couldn't put it down.
Matt and Cal, the two MC's, are lovely. There no angst in this book, only some misunderstanding but mainly good old fashioned romance and friendship. I can't wait to read the next book and enjoy a few more laughs with the whacky characters who make up Cal and Matt's family. Fun read.

4.0 out of 5 stars Completamente inverosimile, ma molto divertente.

I really loved this book. I don't give reviews that often, but I had to this time. I loved the humour that shone through in the author's words. I found myself laughing out loud. While it was a whimsical story, it brought a smile to my face and the secondary characters were a hoot. Will look for other stories by this author!

I was genuinely laughing out loud reading this book. The characters were brilliant and the whole book had a magical quality. It could have done with being a bit longer, building up Matt and Cals relationship just a bit more. But really that's me just wanting to spend more time with them. 4.5 stars rounded up because this book gave me serious smiles.
