I don’t even know where to begin with this series….it has everything you could possibly ask for. The world building is spot on. The spice is 👩🏻‍🍳💋. The connecting world that this author has created is one of my go to comfort reads.     I felt like this was pretty much a mediocre 2010’s Wattpad story. So with that said, main character was for sure a “pick me” girl. I am sick of reading “she was tall, tan, and long silver hair”. You can’t tell me you’re going to literally fight someone and on your first try you practically rip their arm off but go to your love interest and pout that you’re not “strong enough”. I can get by her fighting skills and perfecting them given main characters background and circumstances.

    Make leads were super boring. Of course they were hot and “mysterious”, but they had ZERO character development. Through out the story they stayed at the “I am going to be a toxic piece of sh** and prey for my LOVE interests down fall” even towards the end they stayed the same.

    I didn’t like how the author had to point EVERYTHING out. I am not stupid I can use my common sense to read someone has “daddy issues” without you telling me he has “daddy issues”.

    I hope this story progresses for the better.

    This series was a great read! It put a completely different spin on the Van Helsing versus Dracula lure and the author does an amazing job of taking you through all the emotions felt by the characters from each of their perspectives. It’s filled with Love, reverse harem, action, death betrayal, spice, the works. It accurately paces the characters, emotional mental, and even traumatic moments throughout the entire novel, and it is unlike a lot of other novels that set an unrealistic even for fiction fantasy novel, standard of dealing with traumatic situations. There were plenty of spicy scenes that fit very well within the story like they weren’t awkwardly placed in a random places throughout the novel they were placed where they were supposed to be. I read this entire series within a matter of days. I would’ve finished the entire series within maybe a day or two if my schedule didn’t mess it up.

    Although it was spread out between four books, to me, in my opinion, it really should have been only one book. Maybe you could stretch it out to two books, but this series really didn’t need to be a full book series. This was my only “issue” with the series it’s not enough to drop the rating past five though. it’s literally one novel that was split between multiple books and and I’m not sure if it was just so that the author could make more money or just a production decision either way it didn’t really make sense to me to do that. New book literally just starts or continues from where the period the previous book ended so it was literally just a full continuation of the same book.

    I’d recommend this series to anyone who loves a good action, failed, spicy, vampire, romance novel, even if that’s not your typical cuppa tea I would still recommend it. It’s a very good series.
    I’m looking forward to Reading more of this author’s books.

Now she is given a chance to hone her skills as a vampire at an Academy for supernaturals. She was not prepared for the men there. And she was definitely not prepared to come face to face with the man responsible for the slaughter of her family. I liked it.

    I have read books from R.L.Caulder before and they have always entertained me ,this being no exception.
    Alina is the last of the Van Helsings, slayers to vampires , but something happens that changes her life and she ends up at an academy for the supernatural, where she decides will help her exact her revenge on Dracula.
    I found this book engrossing. I loved the storyline and the characters ,I liked how Alina was. "sorry not sorry "for being who she was, even though that put her at risk.
    Not wanting to give anything away however, I do recommend that you read this if like me you love PNR , RH , fated mates with a good story behind it ...lets hope book 2 is just as good ,cos book 1 certainly left me wanting more .🥰🎉😜
