The Blind Date Kindle Edition

4.2 4.2 out of 5 stars 7,774 ratings

A Blind Date? It could be a match made in heaven. Or a total disaster.

I’m Riley Watson, bringing a dash of sunshine here and a drop of positivity there. That’s how I live my life, focusing on the good that’s all around us if we look for it. There’s just one thing missing—Mr. Right.
So I agree to try a new dating app and find my perfect match. The catch? No pictures.

Fun times... until my Blind Date shows up. That can’t be the same man I’ve been talking to all week!

Noah Daniels is my brother’s best friend and we have absolutely nothing in common.
He’s grumpy, I’m sunny.
He’s a workaholic executive, I’m a freelance influencer.
He plans everything, and I go with the flow.
This has to be a horrible joke—or is it?

I shouldn’t want him, but when he touches me, I turn into a mushy pile of hot hunger.
I should tell him to get lost, but when he opens his heart, I can’t turn him away.
And the more I know, the more I want him.

Is the wrong man my Mr. Right after all?

The Blind Date is a full-length steamy romantic comedy. It's a standalone.

Fun, sweet, and full of heat!
5 out of 5 stars
Fun, sweet, and full of heat!
Fun, sweet, and full of heat, The Blind Date is an opposites attract, enemies to lovers, best friend’s brother plus brother’s best friend book and as I’ve come to expect from Lauren Landish, it also includes secondary characters that I fell in love with. There is a great group of friends, an insta-famous dog, and some advice giving retirees in a retirement home.Riley, known as Riley Sunshine to her half a million Instagram followers, is everything her name implies, while Noah is a grumpy control freak but somehow they are exactly what the other needed. This book is low in angst but my heart did hurt for the reasons Noah became the way he is. I loved getting to know him better and see his funny side come out. He was all in from the get go and he had me swooning. He also came up with a creative use for a treadmill, but you will need to read it to find out more on that!Their story focuses less on the tropes and more on their growing relationship and how that fits in with Riley’s job as an influencer. I love a book where the couple gets together and becomes an actual couple early on instead of at the very end. This book was really just everything I needed right now!

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.

Riley is an influencer. Her brand name Riley Sunshine has a huge following on Instagram. She spreads sunshine and happiness. She loves her followers and in turn, they love her. Along with her besties Arielle and Eli, Riley truly is a ray of sunshine. According to Arielle and Eli, the only thing missing was a man in Riley's life.
Noah and his best friend River have designed successful apps in the past but, they think this one outshines all others. So just to work out the kinks and see if there are any glitches, Noah decides to set up a profile. Noah is all business and only looking to advance his career. But when he receives a notification of a possible match, he can't resist the woman who's messaging him. Are there really such things as soul mates? While Riley was filling out her profile, she was hoping to meet hers.
SWEET, FLIRTY AND SMOKING HOT ! ! ! WITH MIND ALTERING, SOUL SHATTERING SEX, THIS STORY WAS ADDICTIVE, THE BUILD UP WAS INTENSE AND IT WILL MOST DEFINITELY KEEP YOUR INTEREST ! AMAZING STORYLINE WITH FANTASTIC CHARACTERS ! I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT ! ! ! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK !

Sugary sweet with plenty of spice, this opposites attract romance was a lot of fun. I love a grumpy/sunshine romance, and I also love unique meet cutes, so this caught my attention right away. The hero is my kind of grumpalicious workaholic, and I loved watching him fall. It's not long before he's in over his head, and this sweet, sassy heroine turns his world upside down. I also loved that they knew (and disliked) each other just a little bit before meeting through a dating app, and I adored the use of texting. This was on track to be an easy 5-star rating for me, but our hero falls a little TOO fast, so there was a definite lull in the middle. It became almost sickly sweet and there was too much focus on our heroine's career as an influencer. Don't get me wrong - this is also SUPER steamy, and our couple has some serious chemistry - but I think the beast was tamed too quickly.

The story follows Noah, a moody workaholic who is just putting the finishing touches on the dating app that he developed. While testing out the matchmaking process for research purposes, Noah creates a profile for himself using a fake name. To his surprise, Noah discovers that there's a woman on the app who has been deemed his near-perfect match. The two strike up a conversation, and it's not long before they're getting closer via text. Though they've never even seen photos of each other, there are feelings on both sides before they meet in person. The only problem? That meeting doesn't go according to plan. Turns out, Noah's dream girl is actually his best friend's little sister - also known as the woman who thinks he's nothing but a work-obsessed jerk.

Honestly, I was really loving this in the beginning. The app storyline worked for me in a big way, and I loved how close Noah and Riley get before they even meet. That part of the story had me swooning and completely engaged. It just didn't last long enough, and my interest started to wane. I feel kinda weird saying that the book became too sweet and easy for me, but there was definitely a LOT of that in the middle. Sure, Noah and Riley burned up the pages (she brought the HEAT this time), but a significant portion of the book is just them being together. There's nothing that I didn't like about the story - and I considered a 5-star rating - but it really does drag in the middle. If you're in the mood for something sweet yet sexy (you'll never look at a treadmill the same way), then this will certainly satisfy. I received an early copy (then purchased it for my collection), and am voluntarily leaving a review of this best friend's little sister romance.

I loved reading The Blind Date by Lauren Landis. Two complete opposites that come together on a blind date. Only thing is that they have known each other for years. Noah is a smart and business savvy app maker along with his best friend River. River's little sister Riley is best friends with Noah's little sister Arielle and she writes a blog called Sunshine Riley. It's all about living your life with lots of positive thoughts.

River and Noah have created a dating app and Noah decides to give it a try purely for research. But instead of using his name Noah he goes by his first given name, Mark. Riley also gets talked into using the app by her friends and for safety reasons she goes by the name Rachel. One thing about app...no pictures.
After finding out that they have a 96% match they start messaging one another. When they message one another for a few days they decide to meet.
When they set the time and place to meet, they both are surprised to see each other and don't put it together that they are actually there for each other for a few minutes. Then all hell breaks loose. Not realizing that they were actually messaging their siblings best friends has shocked them both.

I truly loved how they both gave up their own comfort to decide to try to date because they had such honest and heartfelt messages to one another. Both of them searching for that special person that will truly compliment them.
Loads of hot scenes and funny moments. Made my race during some of those scenes and I also laughed during some of them too. Fabulous story!! I look forward to reading many more of Lauren Landish's books. Enjoy!

Beginning was pretty good and hooks you in. Riley is an interesting character but Noah turns into a reflection of Riley not the grumpy tough guy who might have been a good foil for all the sweetness. Even the rough sex was gently unreal. Lauren Landish needs to get out of her sweet head in order to give some masculine weight to this story. Sorry ,from the middle of this book on, the book became shear drivel.

Facing someone who is constantly cheerful and insists on being good pretty much all the time can be annoying. However, watching "Riley Sunshine" go about her day, bathing everyone with her sunny disposition, doing a lot of good but also learning from her negative experiences is truly inspiring. 😊 I most definitely recommend this book!

Another one of great works by Lauren. I would rate this book 4.5⭐ for me the reason I could not give it a complete 5⭐ is because it got too sunshiny at occasions. I agree it's good to be optimistic and look for hope in every situation I do as well. But, it should also be accepted that there are bad times along with good.. there is 🌧️ along with 🌞 and sometimes ☁️.
I absolutely loved the concept of the book because sometimes although, we know a person for a very long time there is a possibility that we might not actually know the real person.
Noah was obviously my favourite apart from whom I absolutely adored Eli's character along with Arielle and River. Their characters stuck with me so much that I wanted books for them as well if not at least short novella's.
    It was a good read.😁

Good story but a very slow start unfortunately for a feel good rom com. However it does start to pick up after a few chapters which is good.

There’s definitely some spice to this book but I would’ve loved a lot more. Although the treadmill scene was interesting lol

I actually read this book while listening to the audible which made reading this book more enjoyable.

I loved the writing style of this book. Very well written, so the book flowed well which was fantastic. No big chunks of information, just paragraphed beautifully.

I do like how we read back stories of both Riley & Noah, it makes you love the characters.

Good story, just needed more s*xual tension between Riley & Noah & a lot more smut lol
