The Blind Date Kindle Edition

4.2 out of 5 stars 7,789 ratings

A Blind Date? It could be a match made in heaven. Or a total disaster.

I’m Riley Watson, bringing a dash of sunshine here and a drop of positivity there. That’s how I live my life, focusing on the good that’s all around us if we look for it. There’s just one thing missing—Mr. Right.
So I agree to try a new dating app and find my perfect match. The catch? No pictures.

Fun times... until my Blind Date shows up. That can’t be the same man I’ve been talking to all week!

Noah Daniels is my brother’s best friend and we have absolutely nothing in common.
He’s grumpy, I’m sunny.
He’s a workaholic executive, I’m a freelance influencer.
He plans everything, and I go with the flow.
This has to be a horrible joke—or is it?

I shouldn’t want him, but when he touches me, I turn into a mushy pile of hot hunger.
I should tell him to get lost, but when he opens his heart, I can’t turn him away.
And the more I know, the more I want him.

Is the wrong man my Mr. Right after all?

The Blind Date is a full-length steamy romantic comedy. It's a standalone.

Fun, sweet, and full of heat!
5 out of 5 stars
Fun, sweet, and full of heat!
Fun, sweet, and full of heat, The Blind Date is an opposites attract, enemies to lovers, best friend’s brother plus brother’s best friend book and as I’ve come to expect from Lauren Landish, it also includes secondary characters that I fell in love with. There is a great group of friends, an insta-famous dog, and some advice giving retirees in a retirement home. Riley, known as Riley Sunshine to her half a million Instagram followers, is everything her name implies, while Noah is a grumpy control freak but somehow they are exactly what the other needed. This book is low in angst but my heart did hurt for the reasons Noah became the way he is. I loved getting to know him better and see his funny side come out. He was all in from the get go and he had me swooning. He also came up with a creative use for a treadmill, but you will need to read it to find out more on that! Their story focuses less on the tropes and more on their growing relationship and how that fits in with Riley’s job as an influencer. I love a book where the couple gets together and becomes an actual couple early on instead of at the very end. This book was really just everything I needed right now!

Riley has her own web business as an "influencer." (If you're like me, you'll need to read the book to learn what influencers actually do.) She does short videos to bring happiness into her followers lives. Her best friend, Arielle, talks her into joining a dating site called "Blind Date," since her dating life is nonexistent. She is very familiar with the site, since it's the brain child of her best friend's brother, Noah, and her brother, River, who handles the business side. The four of them have known each other for years, since the boys are best friends. But she and Noah have never really liked each other.
While in college, Noah's genius drives their first mega-successful design on which he and River collaborate, creating a Facebook-like program. Now, Noah turns his talent toward building a dating sight. The idea is that information provided by the men and women who are site users, will be collated by the program's artificial intelligence.
Once the program runs the compatibility percentage for each man and woman, they are provided with the results based on the percentage of compatibility. There are no pictures, indications of careers or social status, wealth and poverty are skipped. The information is strictly based on goals and desires, dreams and hopes. And the entire early dating phase is done completely, "in the blind!"
Such a fun read! The characters are so fleshed out, you can picture meeting with their group of friends for an evening out! The plot gives you enough information to allow you to be an insider, with information only each person, and maybe their best friend/friends know. How great is that?! Yes, I totally enjoyed each page and chapter and am sad that I won't get to watch the rest of their life's story! Enjoy!

Living the life, Riley Watson is the picture of cheer and goodwill. An internet influencer Riley, along with Raffy, has created a niche for herself and her beloved pooch on the internet to make the world a better place... admirable to a degree. Riley grew up in a household with loving parents and an overprotective brother who thinks no one is good enough for his sister. It's an honorable goal to achieve to be a positive person and it appears that Riley has attained that goal...except all is not well in her world. As busy as she is with influencing the world through social media Riley has no one to share her world with. Due to her popularity it can be hard to find someone to be in a relationship with when there is no way to determine if someone is dating you for who you truly are or because of your fame... What is a girl to do? When a friend presents online dating Riley is hesitant I mean everyone does it right? Why not give it a try... you never know what can happen...

Noah Mark Daniels is as focused as they come. A hard worker, good son and brother and great best friend Noah has had to fight for everything he has. Growing up in a home where his mother was the breadwinner Noah notices the sacrifices of his mother to take care of him and his sister so that they could have what they need. When the hand of fate intervenes and Noah's mother is able to find a better job Noah is determine to not only help his mother make sure the family is secure but he wants to make sure they never have to struggle again! Noah loves his family and his best friend and will do anything to help them. In a partnership with his best friend Noah and River are on their way to the top and are ready to introduce their new project. After years of working so hard it has been brought to his attention that he needs to get a life... but why does he need a life when his passion is to work towards his goals and ensure that his finances continues to grown. Yet he does admit there are times when the loneliness gets to him so what is a potential executive to do? Work! To make sure that all goes well with their project Noah takes their project on a test run and the results was better than he could ever imagine... maybe he should stick with the test to see just how great their new project works... it couldn't hurt and he can learn so much from the data that can be provided. Taking a deep breath Noah goes all in... in for a penny in for a pound... just where will this rabbit hole go??

A sweet story about two individuals with insecurities and emotional triggers that have hindered them from grabbing everything that life has to offer. Even if things are going well there is potential that one can be hit with something out of the blue and that is the reality of life... never be afraid to be your authentic self and speak your truth because no one can beat you at being you! Great Job!!!

Loved this fast paced entertaining story from the start to the end. These characters are opposites in every way but their chemistry as well as their connection is SIZZLING HOT! The secondary characters really add so much to this story and the message is one I truly believe in. Everyone needs this one now!

Riley Watson is Riley Sunshine social media influencer with a half a million followers. Her motto is “It doesn’t have to be perfect to be appreciated, it’s all good enough if it makes you smile. You’re good enough to make others smile.” But what is a lonely, but up and coming social media influencer to do when all her time is spent on building her follower base and has no significant other? She goes undercover and uses a Dating App called Blind Date.

Noah Daniels has his life all planned and mapped out, he wants to reach the top in Life Corporation. His motto is work, work, and more work, so he can have the life he wants. As one of the developers of a new dating app called Blind Date he wants it to be the best, so he signs up into the app undercover to check what needs to be done to make it even better. But when he gets matched at ninety-six percent he just can’t help himself, he needs to know more.

These two are soon conversing and connecting day and night and as things heat up between them they are finally ready to meet one another. But when these two come face to face it isn’t the reaction either were expecting. Get ready for LOL entertaining fun, charming romance and sexy times to die for.

Good story but a very slow start unfortunately for a feel good rom com. However it does start to pick up after a few chapters which is good.

There’s definitely some spice to this book but I would’ve loved a lot more. Although the treadmill scene was interesting lol

I actually read this book while listening to the audible which made reading this book more enjoyable.

I loved the writing style of this book. Very well written, so the book flowed well which was fantastic. No big chunks of information, just paragraphed beautifully.

I do like how we read back stories of both Riley & Noah, it makes you love the characters.

Good story, just needed more s*xual tension between Riley & Noah & a lot more smut lol

Another one of great works by Lauren. I would rate this book 4.5⭐ for me the reason I could not give it a complete 5⭐ is because it got too sunshiny at occasions. I agree it's good to be optimistic and look for hope in every situation I do as well. But, it should also be accepted that there are bad times along with good.. there is 🌧️ along with 🌞 and sometimes ☁️.
I absolutely loved the concept of the book because sometimes although, we know a person for a very long time there is a possibility that we might not actually know the real person.
Noah was obviously my favourite apart from whom I absolutely adored Eli's character along with Arielle and River. Their characters stuck with me so much that I wanted books for them as well if not at least short novella's.
    It was a good read.😁

Facing someone who is constantly cheerful and insists on being good pretty much all the time can be annoying. However, watching "Riley Sunshine" go about her day, bathing everyone with her sunny disposition, doing a lot of good but also learning from her negative experiences is truly inspiring. 😊 I most definitely recommend this book!
