BLINK is about a young optometrist, Arran Adatto, who’s patient Ezra Stern requires a little more than the usual care and attention.

Approaching the grand old age of 40, he begins to look at his life and realises he’s terribly lonely, and that his regular one night stands are not fulfilling him enough anymore. When he finds Arran, he thinks the young man is everything he never knew he wanted or needed. Yet Arran has a lot of baggage, not least of all is that he is in the closet about his homosexuality.
This book is at times loving and romantic while shockingly thrilling. There is angst for and from both characters, proving that sometimes, love just isn’t always enough and that there are consequences to everything we do…

    New to me author. This is a mm contemporary story set in the UK. Main characters are Erza and Arran. Great story about finding love and the hardships that can happen. Religion playing a big part in this story. Main characters have an age difference and also an element of the amazing world of drag queens. I’ll read more from this author.

    From the moment Ezra and Arran meet, under rather unique circumstances, there is something between them. Add to that Arran's closeted status and you have yourself an interesting combination. Great story with wonderfully colourful and real characters with their own ups and downs - I really enjoyed this book.

    And if you want to know who Iris Green is? You'll have to read on and find out! :)

    This is a story of intense attraction
    A story of love and acceptance by family and friends , or the sad lack of .

    Ezra is a gay man, good looking and highly successful,
    surrounded by a loving and understanding family . All of which adds to his
    confidence and arrogance. He knows that he can have anything he desires.

    Arran Adatto is a gay man also, but living a lie ,too afraid to come out to his strict family.
    He is following in his family's footsteps by becoming an opthamologist.
    He feels trapped and lonely.

    Iris Green (love the play on names) is a confident and sophisticated queen,
    she loves to perform on the circuit and is making a name for herself.

    A recurring headache and blurry vision sends Ezra crashing into Arran's world.
    Ezra is very attracted to Arran from the first moment they set eyes on each other,
    however Arran is being cautious and ignoring the flutters in his heart.
    Ezra pursues Arran without any thought for the consequences, he cannot understand
    the predicament the other man is in. Their road is a very rocky one indeed.

    In the meantime Ezra is getting cosy with Iris, while his heart belongs with Arran.
    The deeper Ezra falls for Arran the deeper and darker his despair gets.
    Unforeseen circumstances will see Ezra trying to hold on to both
    Arran and Iris with all his strength.
    Will Ezra listen to his heart and wait for Arran to eventually come out
    to his parents, or will his patience run dry ?

    As always a very well constructed story with great characters,
    enough angst to keep me happy and lots of heat between the sheets.
    l also enjoyed their exploration of BDSM while they worked on their kinks.

    As always Izzy Woolf and his gang are always in the background.
    Izzy is the Dom they choose to teach them about playing safe.
    I especially loved the epilogue, it left me with a huge smile on my face.

    So here we have Blink the new release by the supremely talented Viva Gold.
    This is the story of Ezra, stiff and starchy at best and the young Optometrist Arran who is more shy, less forthcoming and very much hiding who he is- I mean what could possibly go wrong?!
    Viva has always has brought us a refreshing and unusual read, her specialty is thinking outside the box, giving us unique but endearing characters- her characters are very real, identifiable at a base level and you over the course of the story see her characters growth. This gives us the readers a more rounded read and to feel as though we know the characters and they are part of your circle of friends.
    I was rooting for both guys for different reasons, there are plenty of moments of both light and shade and I was quite literally cheering them on. This book had angst, lighthearted moments, some holy heck that was hot moments and some heart warming awwww moments!
    So if you get chance then please read this book...you’ll soon see what we do and that is Viva is a top draw read that doesn’t let you down and Blink is no exception!

    Ezra and Arron’s story is full of twists, turns, ups and downs. I really enjoyed that Ms. Gold made both MCs very realistic and not “perfect”. I love books that make me feel and this book will most certainly do that. The secondary characters are fun and you want to be friends with them. What pushed Blink over to the 5-star category for me was not only the story, but the Epilogue “EPIClogue” that satisfied all my wants, feels and questions.

    Ezra is a little grumpy and gruff - and more than a little vain. Arran is a little closeted and reticent - and more than a little intriguing. From the moment they meet, the tension is electric. The character development is great, storyline enjoyable, and oh these two will steal your heart from page one. I was offered an ARC for this book and was delighted with it. One of my picks for the year.

    What Viva does better than almost everyone is character. These people are not just two-dimensional characters living in a book, but fleshed out, charismatic beings who leap off the page. Not only do you live and breathe them, you see all of their flaws in very raw detail which only goes to demonstrate the quality of the writing because not all stories or characters are black and white. We get many nuanced levels here, and I love that. Ezra and Arron are now my two favorite characters by Viva...though I will always have a soft spot for the twins...

    As always, Viva Gold's use of language and writing style shines through to give the reader a sophisticated, polished work. This story is different from her others, and I love that about it. While it still has the power to make your toes curl, it also appeals to the part of me that wants to believe that love can endure, no matter what. And that is the story here. It is powerful, moving, but above all, graceful. Bravo Viva Gold. I cannot help but admire an author who strives to push the boundaries of the genre in which they write, and Viva has certainly done that with this book. I hope this novel reaches a very wide audience because it deserves to.
