Kent Village Outlet Mall sits in the heart of Oxford. It is a lively, busy, exciting place to be particularly if you are the young, talented manager of Zapato – a trendy and popular shoe store. Elvis Smith owns that title and boy does he wear it loud and proud. Not everyone loves Elvis, least of all, Mall Manager Vera Kingsley. However, she is soon to learn to her cost, that the owner of the Village, its names sake, Jonah Kent, finds Elvis distinctly appealing.

Jonah is a wealthy, self-made millionaire. He owns retail outlet malls in the UK and the USA where he now lives, having escaped the disapproval of his lifestyle, from his parents. Their upper-class background cares not for his homosexuality; hence his self-imposed exile to New York.

Elvis is young, free and single. He’s career oriented and ambitious. He also sports blue hair, black eyeliner and on most days, a worrying amount of bling.

Somehow, by the magic of Christmas, Elvis and Jonah are thrown together through a series of events, including a charity drive for an LGBTQ+ charity funded by the Woolf-Cohen foundation. When Jonah comes to visit to ensure all the arrangements for the event are running smoothly, he becomes enthralled with a blue haired, blue eyed boy. Elvis in return falls arse over tit for the handsome, over bearing, Jonah Kent.

It seems an unlikely coupling – yet with a back drop of tinsel, mistletoe and yule tide shenanigans, the possibility for love emerges, like the first drop of snow on Christmas Day.

    I’ve read this author before. This is a mm contemporary story set in the UK. Main characters are 25 years old shoe shop manager Elvis and 40 something rich business owner Jonah. The two are wonderful together but have many ups and downs, communicating all their feelings. Set around Christmas time this is a great story.

    This was a funny and cute Christmas romance with Cinderfella vibe and plenty steam. I liked all the characters both secondary and main. Elvis while smart and cute had a very judgemental attitude though and felt like a reverse snob but later in the book he tempered it a bit. Jonah on the other hand was very approachable and down-to-earth kind of guy considering how rich and posh he was. I liked him more than Elvis.

    This is very insta love and all story but in here it was fine with me due to it being Christmas and time for miracles. One thing that really ticked me off was that there was BDSM lingo thrown in in the beginning and it didn't suit either characters or their relationship since they were not into the lifestyle at all. But in the end when Jonah's acquaintances got introduced who were from another BDSM series by this author the whole master and safeword talk kind of made sense - a small tie but still. Light and easy book to spend an evening with but it certainly sparked an interest to look into the other series by this author. So I recommend it.

    But oh no , he doesn't realise that he will be meeting Izzy and his gang very soon....

    My first read from this author and I enjoyed it. The initial "misunderstanding" , "miscommunication" and "walking away" was frustrating but if you're okay with petulant behaviours in your characters then my pet peeve won't bother you. I still found the book entertaining.

    I thought this was a wonderful and entertaining read, which I read straight through as I couldn't put it down. I could totally picture the setting as we have a designer outlet 10 minutes from where I live and from now on I will be looking more closely at the staff!
    Elvis is a designer shoe store manager who loves making himself look good, despite the obvious disapproval of the outlet manager and who's store is very successful due to his flare and customer friendly staff. Jonah Kent owns the whole outlet and when he is walking around on a rare visit, he hears Elvis laugh and is immediately drawn to the flamboyant man. Despite being totally attracted to Jonah, Elvis has his life and career path all mapped out and at firsts resists any help or interference from Jonah. However after a few bedroom encounters of the hot kind, a drunken Christmas party, plus a few disagreements along the way, they move in together and all in a couple of weeks! I loved the characters, their draw to each other and all the supporting cast and after reading this I totally need to read the previous books about Izzy and his boys to see what they are all about. All in all I thought this was a wonderful, happy and often amusing Christmas read. Highly recommended.
