Blurred Lines : A Reverse-Age-Gap Standalone Romance Kindle Edition

4.3 out of 5 stars 320 ratings

Now an Amazon Best-seller!!

Stupid romantic dreams aren’t for me. Life has taught me enough to be sure love is a lie to sell diamonds on Valentine’s.
I have everything I want. A stable career, the bank account, amazingly supportive friends, and a fabulous high heels collection.
Until I lay my eyes on him. Evan Hayes.
Panty-dropping gorgeous. Check.
Cocky grin and attitude to match. Check. And check.
That sounds good, right? But I’m six years older, he’s a player… and my brother’s best friend.
An unexpected encounter on a stormy night turns into something else.
Something intense and undeniable.
The lines I carefully drafted around my heart become blurry, all the plans I made for my future are at stake.
Could he be the man who makes me believe?

This is a standalone, reverse age-gap, enemies-to-lovers romance that features a swoon-worthy doctor hero and hell-on-heels heroine you will fall in love with.

Did I Swoon...YES!!
Morgana has it all. She's financially stable, great job, making strides in political circles, and her friends and family are super supportive. What she longs for, she can't have - a child of her own. So when she finds an abandoned baby, she proves that even if your body won't allow it some of us still have motherly instincts and a desire to care for those who can't care for themselves. She takes "Baby Hope" to the hospital on instinct and her fever that won't go away to be criticized and scrutinized by Dr. Evan Hayes. These two are a severe summer thunderstorm that can spout a tornado at any moment. They want the same thing, but he's questioning her motives. When Lancelot (her brother) arrives at the hospital, he introduces Morgan to his best friend - Evan Hayes M.D. WHAT!!! This enemies to lovers will give you all the feels as you dive into these two great characters origin story, their rise, and their HEA. Get ready for some swooning, laughter, a tear or two, and some soul-stirring steam. If you've never read Susana Mohel, do it now.💋💋

Morgana Hills is a driven 34yo professional. She has no time for romance, a quickie here-and-there will do. She has self-imposed limits on her romantic future since she found out she could never have children so to avoid that “moment” with a potential spouse, she never lets it get that far. A surprise on a rainy night takes her to the ER where she meets the most handsome younger (28yo) doctor she’s ever seen, but her priorities on this particular night have changed her forever. Dr. Evan Hayes is so angry with this woman but when he realizes his mistake, his feelings take a 180.
This was a truly enjoyable story of first anger to lust to love between Morgan and Evan. There will be angst and a twist or two. When Morgan lets Evan into her life, she realizes that she can let someone help her just like she can help him. My favorite line: “His love doesn’t come with a clock, but a compass.” The epilogue is so poignant and at this time, if you join her NL you’ll get an extended epilogue which will expand the epilogue about a grown up Hope and her nemesis, Ellis, COO of her company. Looking forward to reading that book, “Uncovering Hope.”
I volunteered to review an ARC of this delicious book and if you like steam, sweetness, captivating story and a perfect HEA, read this book!

From the first few pages of Blurred Lines by Susana Mohel, I was so engrossed by the love story that builds between Morgan, a professional businesswoman who works for the Mayor and the days old baby she finds in a dumpster outside her apartment. When she rushes the baby to the hospital, Morgan encounters Evan, a pediatric intern, and unbeknownst to him, she is the younger sister of his best friend Lance. Lance’s wife has been trying to arrange for the two to meet, but Morgan has resisted the meeting since Evan is six years younger than her. Plus, she feels that it wouldn’t be a good match because she isn’t interested in marrying and having a family, until baby Hope changes her mind. Just as this baby opens her heart to love, so to does Dr. Evan. The sexual chemistry and romantic entanglement between the couple is pure perfection, just as the emotional attachment between Evan and the sweet baby Hope is sheer perfection. This book is well written and provides more than just a romantic storyline with Baby Hope’s birth story as well as Evan’s. Evan and Morgan’s HEA is truly one of my favorites.

it was a good story, I like the plot and I loved the characters. However, she really rushed their relationship. It felt like they met and then just rushed into bed and then are exchanging "I love yous", it just didn't feel realistic. I feel like they needed time to get to know each other and then just be a couple for a while before all the forever plans. And the sexual innuendos were a bit much, some to the point of just being gross. I'm not a prude, it was just nasty all the talk of glazing muffins...ick.

Blurred Lines is the first and definitely won’t be the last story I read by Susana Mohel. From the first page, I was hooked in.

Morgan was such a strong woman who didn’t realize that she needed love in her life until she found a little Hope. I loved watching her find her way with Hope and Evan. Evan was beyond swoon worthy with the way that he stepped up when he didn’t have to helping Morgan with Hope.

Evan & Morgan had great banter. I loved how they brought out the best in each other.

Since this is the first book that I have read by this author, I will definitely be reading the first three books in The Perfect Storm series where the side characters told their stories. I am not ready to move from these characters and their stories. It was so easy to fall in love with these characters.

I hope that Hope will get to tell her story!

    I voluntarily reviewed this book.

It's a reverse age gap story with some enemies to lovers aspects, even though, very light hearted and sweet. The storyline is engaging and it has that "feel good" aspect that I loved. My heart is so full after reading Evan and Morgana (Morgan’s) story. I couldn’t put the book down. Morgan’s life is thrown for a loop when she finds a baby near the dumpster where she lives. Luck seems to be on her side with the devastating news she got when she was younger. Evan is a doctor she runs into at the hospital when she brings the baby in for having a fever. Things start off a little rocky between the two, but will everything change as they get to know each other. Is it fate that could make Morgan a mom and Evan the man at her side? Wait to you see the ups and downs this journey takes you on. I was on the edge of my seat reading about these two and the obvious attraction they share. Morgan sure has her walls up. Can she let Evan in? He surely dotes on the baby and her, but is it enough. Make sure you have some tissues handy because Evan and Morgan will make you tear up at how wonderful they are together. The love they have for a baby who isn’t theirs is so amazing and they go to great lengths together to keep her safe.

Excellent storyline and spectacularly written! I loved my first read by Susana Mohel. I devoured this book. It's that good. It's full of love, romance, emotion, and a beautiful relationship. The chemistry between Morgana (Morgan) and Evan sizzles. It's passionate and steamy. Their love for Hope is effortless. Morgana is an independent, driven woman. Evan is a swoon-worthy, protective man. Together they are unstoppable and magical. Their story had some bumps and conflicts, which made me want to keep turning the page. I love age-gap stories especially when the female character is older than the male character. Do yourself a favor and grab this heart-warming story.

Going into the story, I wasn't expecting it to turn out to be such an effervescent tale about hope, belief, commitment and bonding...it's fiction alright, nevertheless it encapsulates all that romantic love ought to be about.

It just goes to show you really don't need to give birth to a child to love them with all your heart and soul.
Meet Morgan who is a strong independent woman who has really done well for herself, she found out from a young age that she was born without a uteruses so she knew children biologically would be impossible, she then focuses on her career.
One night she has a new born baby girl dumped outside her property by the dumpster. She names her Hope and whisks her to the emergency room where she meets Evan the pediatrician on duty. They don't hit it off at first but end up being able to fight for Hope and become a family. You find out why the young mum dumped her and also the waste of space sperm donor. Morgan and Evan do end up adopting Hope, this was such a lovely story and gets across the love you feel for a child even if you haven't given birth to them.
