Born of Dragons (Age of the Sorcerers—Book Three) Kindle Edition
--Books and Movie Reviews, Roberto Mattos (re The Sorcerer’s Ring)
“The beginnings of something remarkable are there.”
--San Francisco Book Review (re A Quest of Heroes)
From #1 bestseller Morgan Rice, author of A Quest of Heroes (over 1,300 five star reviews) comes a startlingly new fantasy series.
In BORN OF DRAGONS (Age of the Sorcerers—Book Three) Lenore is safely returned to the North—but not without a price. Her bother Rodry is dead and her father, King Godwin, lies in a coma. With the rulership of the North in question, her treacherous brother Vars may just find an opening to rule.
But Vars is a coward, and King Ravin, smarting from defeat, mobilizes the entire South to invade. The northern capital, never defeated, lies protected by tides and canals—but Ravin can happily lose scores of men.
The most epic battle, it seems, is yet to come.
Devin must quest to learn his true identity and forge the Unfinished Sword—yet he is distracted, realizing he has fallen in love with Lenore. Lenore, though, is stuck in a hateful marriage, one which may endanger her very life.
Renard, with his brazen act of theft, is on the run from the Hooded Folk, all of them anxious to retrieve the amulet that can control dragons.
And Nerra wakes to find herself transformed into something else—something beautiful, monstrous, powerful and unknowable. Will she be the one to lead the dragon race?
AGE OF THE SORCERERS weaves an epic sage of love, of passion, of sibling rivalry; of rogues and hidden treasure; of monks and warriors; of honor and glory, and of betrayal, fate and destiny. It is a tale you will not put down until the early hours, one that will transport you to another world and have you fall in in love with characters you will never forget. It appeals to all ages and genders.

- Reviewed in the United States on July 5, 2020The story jumps around so much that you need a scorecard to keep track of all the moving parts Would not suggest laying down the book for an extended period of time as one could forget what had happened in the past to one of the many characters.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 29, 2020High rating for quick pace and varied characters and groupings of different social groups. Well defined individual stories. Great send off to next read.

- Reviewed in the United States on July 2, 2022This book was less interesting to me than the previous two in the series. So many battles, so much death. . . And two bad kings cut basically from the same mold, only at least Ravin was intelligent and focused. Also, the author uses the phrase, “(S)he knew (s)he was going to die” a LOT, and then miraculously something saves whoever was going to die.
Hopefully we’ll learn more about the more interesting characters (like Nerra) in the next books!
- Reviewed in the United States on February 10, 2024Im hooked on this series. I could go on about how much fun this is to read, but rather say why i gave it
a 4 instead of a 5 which it deserves... The books are to short and the price keeps going up. Also. there are a lot of books in this series, It could be condensed into 4 with a reasonable Price. I am still going to buy all of the series, but only because the author is a great writer and this is a great series.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 11, 2020An extremely enjoyable read. Loved the flow and continuity. Hated when i came to the end. Couldn't wait to get the sequel.

5.0 out of 5 stars Oh my goodness, this book!
Well that escalated quickly! This book is the third in the series and oh my goodness it's action packed! Battles coming out of every corner! I thought books one and two were really great but this one is way more exciting.
So much of the story keeps changing. Too many Kings, too many sisters and brothers fighting for their lives. It's magical mayhem for some, and death for others. There are a terrifying group of men and women known as The Quiet Men who are utterly ruthless. Plus a trio known only as The Hidden who are absolutely lethal and who quite frankly give me the creeps. I
This book will rivet you to your seat. You just won't want to put it down.
Now that I've given this quick review, I'm off to buy book four...please Amazon, take my money! 😁💸

5.0 out of 5 stars Age of Sorcerers books 1 o 3
It's been awhile since I've read Morgan Rice books. She has written a number of great series one favorite was Sorcerers Ring. I am now reading Age of Sorcerers which is another interesting series. Model is direction, traitors, dragons, wars, manipulations, etc seem to be pets of this series. Looking forward to the rest of the series. Thanks Morgan for involving me in you great writing again. There are still a couple of your series I haven't read so will definitely be checking them out.
In the process of reading book 3 of Age of Socerers, anxious to see what Devin and Jesse will be up to. As well as Lenore. As for Vars here hoping he straightens himself out and become more supportive and less selfish. So many other characters to talk about but need to see which direction they will go in this and the following books.

4.0 out of 5 stars A good tale.
Morgan Rice spins a good tale. Characters flow and cross paths without losing their individuality. Have liked all three series that I have read.

3.0 out of 5 stars A good concept but far too short
I am enjoying the series and the breadth of characters involved, the writing is easy to read & the storyline enjoyable, which helps you overlook a couple of the plot issues. My major criticism is the short length of each book in the series. Each book needs to be at least twice as long, which would make the series much more appealing with just 4 books.
I will need to investigate this aspect for the other series of books in the Morgan Rice catalogue before plunging in again
