Let me tell y'all..I was sitting on the edge of my seat..turning those pages like a mad woman to get to the end. Trejo takes you on that fast moving train and you better buckle up cuz your mind is going to be blown!!

    Born To Kill is a book that I really didn't think that I would enjoy reading. I have never been a big fan of Mafia type books. But this book really surprised me. Born To Kill drew me in from page one and I had a real hard time putting it down. Gio and Asia are well developed characters that pull on your heartstrings. You can tell they are in love but you know that there will be major problems for them along their journey and you're not sure that it will even work out for them. If you love stories about the Mafia, I would suggest you pick up a copy of Born To Kill and read it. You have love, killing, typical problems and some sex involved. This is a fantastic book.

    Have read other books in the authors MC world and liked them but I loved this step outside the box into the mafia world. This is more of a tortured man forced to find a way in this screwed up world filled with pain and sorrow. Through it all we see him hold onto a love shared with a childhood friend and her struggle with his demons. The plot is filled with terrible twists and turns and I'm sure you won't see them all coming. This may just make her a must read author for me

    I received this book as an ARC as I am lucky to read many Arc's by Erin. Then I buy them when they are released to because I love supporting her. Erin is such a passionate writer. She never holds anything back. A reader can feel the emotions of each character. I love that. This mafia book was an intense rise. Born to Kill says it all by the title. If you have read my reviews before...I dislike spoilers and never tell them for Erin's book. I think each read should enjoy it for themselves. Just let me say. This is one dark, intense, strong emotional story for both our characters! If you enjoy a mafia story. You truly will love this one.

    So my all time favorite MC writer has decided to write a mafia romance 😲 and let me just tell y’all from now that she doesn’t disappoint!!
    Seriously I don’t read very many mafia romance books but if Erin writes it I’m going to read it!!
    This book will suck you in from the first page and have you reading do fast that you’re actually be afraid it will be over too soon. If ever I imagined what it would be like to be in this lifestyle I think Erin nailed my imagination. I seriously don’t know what else to write because I don’t want to give anything away. But if you like messed up romance with lots of twists and turns then go one click this book right now. And as always happy reading friends!! 📖

    Asia, a pampered princess, and Gio, an animal in the making, grew up together. As the story progresses darkness spreads, choices seem to be given, and the decision reached change everything including their future. Erin Trejo plays the emotional instrument of writing like the professional she is, tugging her readers this way and that until they don’t know if they want to hug her or yell at her. Born To Kill had me swing on that pendulum the entire time. Her use of darkness is amazing, forcing the characters to either sink or swim at her whim. I am truly grateful that I encountered her books and that she continues to expand her body of work making me and her other readers swing the emotional gambit. Reader Discretion advised due to dark subject matter and/or possible triggers.

    This book was a great quick read I finished it in one sitting. I enjoyed the characters and their relationships. It's a new twist on this type of storyline. I would give it 5 stars but the pages were gluchy and not spade correctly I ended up loosing pages of the story.

    I love a book where the characters are broken and damaged apart, and yet together they become one with their darkness. This mafia story has it all. A family filled with dark and painful secrets, lies, betrayal, revenge- all the things that make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. No? Ok all the things you can expect in a mafia story from this author. She definitely holds nothing back- which I am grateful for. If I wanted roses and unicorns I wouldn't be reading mafia!!

    So, this book is written in such a way that I think the author is trying to convey an accent (Italian/mafia/New York?). That did the book a disservice because it didn’t feel authentic to me. Also, while I definitely enjoy some heated romance, I definitely do not like reading, in detail, about sex amongst underage teenagers. NOPE. So, I kept trying to like the characters. I wanted to be invested and root for them. But they were just too darn evil. Yes, Giovanni is the monster his father created and no one deserves his treatment. But he was still a cold-blooded killer. There’s one scene in the book where he kills a woman to prove a simple statement to someone else (sorry, don’t want to post any spoilers). I don’t want to believe someone can kill every day for 8-10 years, live off booze and coke, and then still be considered a good person even a little bit. So for that, no. I didn’t like this book.

    Loved it. I do like dark mafia romance but finding a good book is sometimes difficult- either the violence is way over the top or there is none. It’s not easy to find that right amount that draws readers in without having them throwing their kindle and running for cover. This one, like Goldie Locks and the 3 Bears, is just right. The story grabs you from the start and keeps you engaged. You can’t help but root for Gio and Asia. Well worth the reader’s time and money. I voluntarily received an arc copy of this book and purchased a copy as well

    I never expected this whirlwind of emotions!!

    It's been love at first sight with this book.
    The cover and the title attracted me and the blurb convinced me to read it.

    I have to admit i thought the story would have follow another path, but I can’t complain because the author had me hooked from the first page.

    Giovanni knows very well how tough is life in the mafia world: his scars speak out loud.
    They have turned him in a monster...
    The only light in his life is Asia, the little girl he grow up with, the only one who matter something, the only one he loves.
    But in this world love means nothing, and Asia & Gio gonna find it out in the hardest way.

    Oh my ... the angst!!!

    It killed me reading how much this love has been hindered.
    The pain they have endured...

    Gio tried so hard to numb it with meaningless relationships, alcohol and drugs; whereas Asia had to play the part of the obedient girl while hiding her demons.

    Erin Trejo show us perfectly the evilness of mad men.

    Not even their love is pure: it's defied by the darkness that surrouds their lives.
    And maybe it's what makes this story so addictive....

    The story covers a long period of time (we are talking about years) but there are less than 200 pages so many things feels a bit rushed, and this is the only reasons I didn’t give it 5 stars.

    Anyhow, it was an amazing discover and I absolutely recommended it!!

    Loaded with Triggers this is a dark telling of when boy meets girl. Gio and Asia are childhood sweethearts that are trapped in a world that has their lives predestined. Gio a murderer and Asia the mafia wife of his cousin. What they have in common is being under the thumb of the head of the family Deluca who just happens to be Gios father. It’s fast paced with a lot of twists, turns, sex, drugs and murder.
