Bound to Him Kindle Edition
Texan Alton Bouchard always gets what he wants. There’s not much money can’t buy, and for everything else he bulldozes his way to victory. The moment he sees Noah Divine, the heir of the Divine Conglomerate, Alton knows he wants him. Alton digs up enough dirt to scare Noah’s father, and before Noah realizes what is happening, he’s contracted to be married to Alton for six months.
The Artist Minted by Money
Noah Divine wants nothing to do with his family’s business. His dream to be a painter has made him his father’s number-one disappointment. When he is asked to marry Alton to smooth over the dark splotches on his family’s reputation, Noah can’t see a solution to the problem except to comply, if only to keep life normal for his younger siblings.
The Marriage Plot
Alton has a plan—a short marriage to Noah, which will give him business as well as personal opportunities. The hitch is that he doesn’t expect Noah to be so pure and innocent, especially since he’d grown up in the moneyed world of Vert Island. Noah wants to hate Alton, but he discovers there is more to the billionaire than he shows. As they navigate their arrangement, they find their feelings for each other grow deeper than they anticipated. Once six months is over, their lives will go back to the way they were before the wedding. But what if they don’t want to be alone again? Can a marriage started with a contract ever become more?
At the beginning of Bound to Him, Alton has a complete lack of morals, but never fear, Noah wins him over, and there is a happily ever after.

Ki grew up in small town nowhere complaining loudly to anyone who would listen about the never-ending boredom, but among all that solitude was time to write, daily bonfires, and an endless stretch of sky to ripen an overactive imagination. Now, living in Erie, Pennsylvania, Ki enjoys the sandy beaches and appreciates those quiet times a lot more. Ki is a beach bum during the summer, takes on more projects than are strictly healthy, and spends as much time as possible with family.

- Reviewed in the United States on March 2, 2022Format: KindleVerified PurchaseThe blurb was intriguing and the book did start of great. I liked Noah a lot who is an artist with a gentle and kind heart whose choices got frowned upon by his family. What really stood out for me are the sweet and tender moments between the two main characters. Those times highlight how much both are in love with each other.
There were some moments that I thought were a bit on the dull and unnecessary side and what really comes to mind is the misunderstanding/miscommunication in the last stretch of the story. I understand why that was done but it just didn't work out for me.
Still, this was a nicely written romance book with some really great spicy scenes.
This would be a 3.5 stars out of 5 stars for me.

- Reviewed in the United States on April 9, 2022Format: KindleVerified PurchaseThis had so much potential. The obsessiveness of Alton and the fragility of Noah was a promise to a good hate-lust-love-hurt-love story, and it kinda did, but it was very flat and didn't rise to it's potential. The climex of the story wasn't logical and so did the resolution. The only reason it gets 3 starts and not 1, it because I loved the characters.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 16, 2022Format: KindleVerified PurchaseThis book hits all my loves. Beautiful men is lace, forced arrangements, enemies to lovers. I cannot even begin to touch on how much this book lit me up, excited and hooked me, and then crushed and soothed my heart. I could not put this book down when I first read it and reading it a second time even better. If you share with me the love for these tropes, this story will not let you down. You will get hit with all the feels and fall in love with both men. 5 ... FIVE!... FREAKING STARS!

Definitely recommend to anyone looking for low action, high angst, super filthy hot, sweet m/m romance with a redeemable alpha a-hole!
- Reviewed in the United States on March 9, 2024Format: KindleVerified PurchaseNoah is used to being a disappointment to his domineering father. Not only is he gay, but Noah has no interest in the family business. He wants to be an artist. Alton is one of the nation's most successful entrepreneurs. The self-made billionaire is accustomed to getting what he wants. Alton sees Noah at a business party one evening and is instantly attracted to him. He mistakenly assumes that Noah is just another spoiled rich kid. When he discovers that Noah's father has swindled him, Alton thinks he has the perfect plan. He will take over the company and force Noah into a temporary marriage so he can take his revenge and his pleasure at the same time.
“Bound to Him” can be thought of as an interesting take on the enemies-to-lovers trope. Add to that an element of dubious consent, and you have a spicy mixture that might not be to everyone's taste. This being romance, you know where things will end, but there are more than a few twists and turns in this telling to keep things interesting. The set-up of Noah and Alton's marriage doesn't bear too much scrutiny, but once it gets started, the story proceeds relatively believably.
Noah is a somewhat typical romantic character whose personality defies his privileged upbringing. He is generally not entitled or obsessed with acquiring more money. Noah also has some curiously old-fashioned romantic ideals. Those play a big part in creating the initial drama at the start of his relationship with Alton. You can't help but like Noah from the very beginning.
Alton is definitely the “bad guy” in this story. The billionaire more than once expresses his belief that his money can buy him whatever he wants, including people. He bulldozes his way into everything without really considering the consequences for the people involved. It's not clear if Alton really sees Noah as a human being at first rather than just a pretty toy that he can break-in and use until he becomes bored with it.
The relationship between Alton and Noah takes on a dominant/submissive nature. There's no doubt that Alton has a very controlling nature that demands Noah do whatever he says. His lingerie kink is a bit different. Noah seems to have a submissive nature, but the coercive aspect of his relationship with Alton makes him resist it.

This has sexy scenes (I prefer mine a bit steamier but was still good).
This kind of seems like a a mix of Beauty and the Beast with Cinderella, kind of.
I would love to know what happened to the Divine's and what the future looks like for the Bouchard's.

5.0 out of 5 stars What an emotional journey!
Format: KindleVerified PurchaseI wasn't sure what to think at first, Alton was not a character I could empathise with in the beginning. But reading his and Noah's story and watching them fall in love was SO good. Would definitely read again and am going search out more by these authors.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Ever Possessive Alpha fake Marriage Romance!
Format: KindleVerified PurchaseThis book is fire. So exciting right from page one. I've read alot of billionaire fake marriage romance and this has to be the best one in fact it is probably the way it should be done. My God, Alton and Noah were friggin hot together. The sex scenes are tasteful and truly bring out Alton's alpha, dominant character. I loved that Noah didn't make me feel like I was reading a dumb and pliant guy. His beauty and individuality shined. The best thing about this story is the detail. It's not slow burn per se but the writers really flesh out everything and it's filled with swoony moments between them that for me were the highlight. And it's not just sugary stuff, there's a good plot going and you never feel bored. There are so many things happening. It's very balanced. I love how its written. I really liked how the characters just came alive. Before this I'd usually just parse through steamy scenes in books because there's only so many you can write a love scene but I found myself reading and enjoying the scenes. They were... 👀 Oof. STEAMY! Loved it. This book was intense and totally romantic and well written and just a great romance read. It had everything. No complaints. Take your chance on it. You will not regret it. I want to read this all over again! So glad I found these two writers and contrary to what they think of themselves, they are very, very good 😉

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful Story.
Format: KindleVerified PurchaseA long but amazing story that has every emotion you can name, I absolutely loved it. Alton's demanding and expectant ways were rather intriguing, what a man. While Noah is young, innocent, and indignant. Very angsty at times but also gorgeously sweet at others, just a wonderful read.

5.0 out of 5 stars loved it - enemies to lovers
Format: KindleVerified PurchaseThis was so good, I struggled to put it down. Alton is a self made billionaire who has worked very hard from a farm boy to where he is today and he is ruthless. He forces Noah to marry him for 6 months as part of a deal to get revenge on Noah’s dad but doesn’t count on the friendship and more that develops between himself and Noah. Lots of things happened during the book and I loved the secondary characters including Antoine, Tucker and Mamma! Didn’t want it to end.
