    I adore a good friends-to-lovers tale story and Christian and David's journey was one of the best I've had the privilege to read. When successful young football player, Christian reunites with his childhood friend and first love, David, a PhD student, we get to see from both POV's what life was like between them when they were young; how joined at the hip they were and how they only had eyes for each other until that fateful day when they had to part because of Christian's career. The deep feelings they had were carried on into adulthood and it was so beautiful to see them recognise and accept each other again as they spend more time with each other. The way their relationship evolved from here on out felt so organic and real; both struggling with issues that could promise to blow their new found happiness to smithereens. Can they get through it and find their HEA? You need to read this fantastic story to find out! The supporting cast were so good, we have Christian's take charge and take-no-bullshit sister, Lily and David's roommate Kit, both unique, rich and funny as hell characters. I loved this start to the new series and I'm chomping at the bit for more!

And is mum or dad really an enabler or intent on living vicariously through their child? I've often wondered. I shall look forward very much to more from this author.

    They both felt so real, and I loved the pace of the story and where it took us.
    I couldn't put it down and had a moment of "want to throw the book against the wall" that I hadn't had in a while, as this story put me through my paces.
    It was sweet and funny, and I loved all the banter, especially with the side characters. They were amazing and I am not sure which of them I want in the next book, but I sure look forward to it.

    The ending was absolutely perfect and I hope to see glimpses of these two in the future.
