reminiscent of a Jacques Tourneur noir horror film
Just finished this collection of short stories by Patricia Rareg and it gave me a feeling reminiscent of a Jacques Tourneur noir horror film.Back cover:“Each story in this collection deals with breaking up whether it is mental, physical, emotional. The characters are all facing feelings they cannot control and in the end they bring destruction and madness on themselves.”These stories are definitely psychological. They are about characters who are losing control of everything in their lives and as a result warp their own sense of reality. 😬 An interesting and scary read.

This collection of short stories covers many types of break ups. Some are just painful while others are tragic. I found them to be interesting and some a little sad. And some has an undertone of mental illnesses.
