    I read a review of this book on Goodreads and immediately bought the book. Last night I started this book and I just could not put this book down. Yes, is m/m. I loved the atmosphere this book was able to create. I really was in another time, maybe back in the early 1900s. Eric West is larger than life. Will is that too beautiful for words person. What was a plot to destroy became a live of the ages. Eric's obsession knew no bounds and for such a powerful man to feel that way was inherently dangerous. Will felt he could control the illusion but at some point it became bigger than both of them. An older ruthless crime boss falls for what he thinks is an expensive prostitute when in reality the prostitute was a journalist trying to get a story. You will not be disappointed spending a few hours in this book.

    I haven't read a book that fast in a long time. I could not put it down. I didn't think I would end up like Eric but I ended up loving him and Simon together. This was very well written, with very well written characters and lots of great action and a few steamy scenes. I was at the edge of my seat the whole time with all the twists and turns. There was never a dull moment in this book and I devoured it in one and am already wishing there was more about these characters. This was my first book by this author and it won't be my last.

    After about 30 pages I almost stopped reading because of elements I generally don’t like reading (infidelity, homophobic slurs), but I decided I’d give it until 50 pages. Before I knew it the book was flying by and I was hooked. I was never fully in love with the characters (except Catherine) or buying into the relationship, but I just absolutely needed to know how the heck they got out of this mess. Definitely an enjoyable ride with solid twists and a satisfying conclusion.

    What a great book! Interesting story line that keeps the reader gripped until the very end. The story is unique and full of twists. Well written and just easy to read and get lost in.
    The characters are engaging and well rounded easy to fall for or dislike!
    Will has every intention of making sure the bad guy goes to jail however when he finally meets the bad guy things become harder. Will wants to make sure Eric pays for the death of his friend. The one way he can ensure he ends up in the path of Eric West is to work at Le Chateau with the help of his friend and owner of Le Chateau he soon comes in contact with Eric. The more he knows of the man the more he can't figure him out. Will is also learning things about himself in all this.
    Eric a Crime family boss and scared of no one well not until now. Rob has arranged a surprise for Eric at Le Chateau and when Eric walks through the door little does he know this will change his life. Eric has a complicated life and it just gets harder when he falls in love.
    Two men who think they are incapable of love can't stop themselves once they meet . This is a story that will have you turning the pages frantically trying to find out what happens next. It also leaves you a little disappointed at the end that you have finished and there is no more to read.
    Really enjoyable read you can almost feel like you are there and have a vested interest in the lives of the characters good or bad.
