    Renee Harless once again takes us back to Carson, NC where the people are friendly, new businesses are popping up, and love is always in the air. In “Behind the Bar,” we find out what happens when a modern-day princess, who is on the run from her meddling royal family, meets her Prince Charming in a crowded bar.

    I love Kerry and Landon and their magical whirlwind romance. Kerry knew in her heart that she needed time away to think about her future before her royal duties took over her life forever. Carson was a safe haven for her and she was sure all her questions would be answered once she arrived. Landon had always been a mystery to me from his brief appearances in previous Carson books. He was a quiet man who kept to himself while working on plans for his new bar, Murphy’s. He had painstakingly renovated an old building into an establishment he was proud of. However, he had demons that plagued him nightly and dark memories he feared would never go away.

    I love the meet-cute between Kerry and Landon as they got to know one another over burgers and light conversation. They got along as if they had known each other forever and it was only natural that they would never want their night to end. Landon was sure he would only have one night with Kerry and he wanted to make it special.

    What will happen after Kerry and Landon’s paths cross in Carson? Will Landon open his heart to Kerry and ask her to stay or will she be whisked away by the royal limousine, never to be seen again?

Kerry doesn’t want to marry just anyone, she wants to find and fall in love, so she leaves her country with out anyone knowing, and while in her travels to Carson, she meets Landon , the new bar owner . After a pretty hot steamy night, thinking they would never see each other, they find themselves staring at each other inside his bar. Besides more steamy times, someone doesn’t want Kerry to stay in Carson.
    Landon, and the Connelly clan won’t let anyone hurt or bother one of their own...

    This was an amazing book, and I honestly could not put it down..

    This was a good fast read in one of my favorite series. I couldn't wait for Landon's story, the glimpses of him from past books left me wanting to know more of his story. The introduction of Kerry fit right into place and I love that Carson keeps so many special "secrets"! Good story line, love the Carson hometown feel, but did wish it had been a bit longer with few more pieces of the puzzle put together.

    I enjoyed the book 3 story line as well as the prior 2 books. However, in book 3 of the series there are so many typos and incorrect works that it really made reading the book much less enjoyable. Hopefully they will re-edit the book for future readers. I’m not sure if I’ll be continuing the series or not at this point.

    This is the 4th book in this amazing town of Carson, and this author has written a beautiful and magical gem of a story with Landon and Kerry’s story! Landon does not regret any of the choices he had made in his past, which has left him haunted by demons. Kerry needed to escape from the heavy weight of her responsibilities for a little while, and when she meets the sexy man in his bar the sparks fly, and the chemistry is undeniable. A one-night stand which is intense and steamy leads to more, but what will happen when secrets are revealed which may be the end of any hope of the being together. This is a beautifully written story which is entertaining, and with secrets, hope, intrigue, family dynamics, friendships, and love, which all leads to a steamy and all-consuming tale. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend for all.

    She's a princess on the run, and he's a felon who's tired of running...

    I loved the way these two met. Neither one is wanting to draw attention to themselves.  As fate would have it, they both are in the right place at the right time. 

    He’s not looking for anything serious, but he can't look away from her.  She's tired of the palace life, and  wants a break to find herself apart from the life that was chosen for her from birth. It has that "Aladdin" vibe, that will have you believing in fairytale and "love at first sight!"

    If you like fast-paced whirlwind romance, you will LOVE Behind the Bar! This is my first read by Renee Harless, and though fast-pace isn't usually my main vibe, I thoroughly enjoyed it!
