    What an agonizingly exceptional book this is!

    Chase and Alicias ending in the first book was heartbreaking. When she left.. my heart broke for both of them.

    This book begins 3 years later. Jill and Cam are getting married and Alicia comes home from London for the wedding. With her is Simon, her friend, and a surprise for everyone. She has not maintained contact with anyone… not Chase, who had done what she asked and let her go, nor Callie and Jill, who were her best friends. She just stopped taking their calls. No one knew why. Now that she’s home, she begins to wonder if she did the right thing. She’s torn between yes and no.

    This story is a wonderfully haunting tale of two broken souls who found each other at a time when they both needed something to hold onto. Both in recovery from alcohol addiction, they clung to each other and when Chase slipped… Alicia couldn’t let herself go there, so she ran. Now, she’s come back and Chase realized that it’s her, always her. But can it work?

    That’s where I’ll stop, because it’s too heart-wrenching, so we’ll written (my hat is off to Kacey Shea, this is excellent),so good that I telling you all that you NEED to read this book, this duet, as soon as possible! 5 stars from me.

    Alicia, a university professor, has a troubled past that includes Chase, a firefighter, and she hopes not to run into him when she heads back to Virginia for her friend’s wedding to his brother. As the story progresses her hopes are dashed, a secret is revealed, and if she cannot let the past stop influencing the present they could not have a future. Kacey Shea’s Caught In Us is an engaging end to her Caught series and gave Alicia and Chase the closure and forgiveness they both need. I am sad to see the series end but looking forward to the next journey she allows the readers to experience.

    This is the conclusion of Alisha and Chase. We left them seperated with no hope of getting back together. This one starts out three years later and they are brought back together for a wedding. Of course each characters has moved along…physically but their hearts have never fully recovered.

    I loved seeing how much Chase has grown and changed for the better. Even seeing the work he has put in with Maverick and Tyler. Alisha is more of a stunted character. While she had some changes in her life…she mostly is stuck and needs a push or two.

    Overall this is a nice wrap up of the characters and storyline. The epilogues were wonderful and made me smile. I did listen to this on audio. Savannah Peachwood and Teddy Hamilton are always a joy to listen to and they did a wonderful job.

    I am going to write this review about all 4 books in the “Caught Up” series! Each book added to the whole story! Alicia & Chase…. What a mixed-up mess their lives were! We saw that mistakes, and bad moments happened, but they don’t control our lives! The issue of sobriety was so interwoven into their story, the consequences of being out of control of one’s life! We saw and felt their struggles… we saw Maverick forgive his friend, and through Chase he didn’t give up! Alcoholism is such a horrible disease because it is something we give to ourselves! Some say it’s because we are weak, have no control… but hey, in times of stress and the unknown, counting down from ten helps us gain some control! Something we all need in our lives!

    What an emotional conclusion to Chase and Alicia's story! This was an emotional, slow burn, make you want to punch these characters a few times (Alicia I'm looking at you) read. One that I could not put down. Seriously, the way in which Kacey Shea has delivered their journey will break your heart and put it back together piece by beautiful piece. SO GOOD!

    This is a series so you need to read the previous one first.
    This series was a good read even though some of Alicia’s choices seemed selfish and petty.
    Chase also seemed a bit too ready to forgive.
    I felt the book of the first part of their story was far better written than this one. It would have been nice if Chase’s Dad got some comeuppance for his bad behaviour.
