Celestial Academy: The Complete Series Kindle Edition

4.4 out of 5 stars 989 ratings

My dad is the literal devil, and he’s had enough of my shit.

With a single impulsive decision, my whole life is turned upside down.

I'm no stranger to fending for myself, but when I make an epic mistake, I’m left with no choice but to face my father, Lucifer.

I’m eighteen and can make my own decisions, but that doesn’t stop him from sending me to my worst nightmare. I might be half angel, but attending an academy full of angels when you don’t have wings and your dad is the devil is my own personal hell.

Until I meet four men who change my world.

The passionate professor. The broken fallen angel. The innocent archangel. And a demon I’ve only dreamed of.

Just when I think things have changed for the better, there's a threat that could ruin it all. Unthinkable things are happening to angels, and I might just be the next target.

*Celestial Academy: The Complete Series omnibus includes Ascend, Descend, and Transcend. It contains multiple love interests with an MM relationship. Please see author’s note at beginning of book for content warnings.

Celestial Academy is an omnibus of the Celestial Academy series books, Ascend, Descend, and Transcend.

    Book 1: Ascend
This was a great series starter! I really enjoyed all the characters and the twists that are thrown at you during the book. This is a fast burn, which is always great when I typically read slow burns. The book is fast paced and action packed.

I was not expecting the ending and I may have cried a bit, but then it gets better. The twist/cliffhanger at the end was shocking and now my brain is in overdrive with theories.

    Book 2: Descend
This series keeps getting better and better! I loved the connections that Danica has with Asher, Olly, Tobias and now Reve. I love that the book is fast paced.

I was shocked by the last bit of book two. I have been glued to this series since I've started it and cannot wait to see how it ends!

    Book 3: Transcend
I have laughed and cried and loved every minute of this book. There is a lot happening during the last installment, and it is up to Danica to save the world. We get to know more about each of the guys in this book and each of them complete Danica in some way. The steamy bits have stepped up a notch and I was definitely ready for that MM action.

Overall this series is amazing! I loved all the characters and I am excited to read the other books in this world.

This is a thoroughly enjoyable series. It's 3 books in this one compendium. Danica is a good FMC. She's rather ADHD with maybe some learning difficulties but meds don't work on her half-angel self. Her father isn't around so much since he's busy overseeing Hell. The guys are very distinct. One is a professor, one is Fallen and suffering some major PTSD. One is overly naive and I don't want to spoil the final guy, he comes a bit later and winds up being my favorite.

This has a different writing style than the other series I’ve read from Maya. Parts of it seem like maybe she wrote these when she was still elearning and growing. Some of the first two books have a more amateur feel to them but it gets better as the series goes on. This has a well developed storyline with relatable character.

Really enjoyed this book. Great character building, world building and none of the typical tropes that make you cringe. Strong mains with really fun and interesting side characters!

I liked the premise of the story, but all the bad ass characters were kind of weak, the sex scenes kind of stilted and it lacked heart. The main characters didn't really rise to the occasion. I did like the story but it just didn't really reach its goal.

    I’m gonna give it a 3.5.

Book one was decent. It was filled with a lot of ridiculousness but it made me chuckle and it was entertaining. Book two was a bit less entertaining. The plot started to drag a bit the only thing that felt really genuine to me was the relationship between Asher and Olly. Book three… everything kind of just fell apart for me with this one. I think this story would have fit into a duet instead of three books. There was a lot of filler and I got that impatient “come on get to the point” feeling. The guys pissed me off and Dani never actually stood her ground and set boundaries with them which was frustrating. I get that she’s young and new to relationships and all but for the men to be grown (all for Olly of course) and not hear her when she’s screaming about something she wants or doesn’t want is irritating. The ending was also extremely disappointing. Liliths demise was so built up that you expect some epic battle or a gratifying sneak attack but nope. Then a few quick POVs from the guys and they get a HEA. It just took it down a lot to me. A few plot holes were left too and I hate that it leaves the series feeling unfinished. I haven’t looked so there may be spin offs from this universe but after finishing this one I’m just not interested in hearing the other stories. I wish the flow from the first book had spread throughout.

This series was a great read, lots of trials, love, hate and even friends. There is amazing world building and it is fantastic to see the character growth both within herself and with in her relationships and with the other characters to. I love Ollie's innocence and how it makes the others laugh at times but also how they show him the best way to do things.

I fell in love with the mix of characters. However at times the story seemed a little rushed. But overall it was an enjoyable read. The reverse harem was on the tame side and the M/M part of the relationship was sweet.
