    This is a very good, well written, Alien/Human romance. The characters are interesting, lovable, and feel like you know them. Mia, her mother, and others from Earth were abducted. Then freed at Reba-5. Mia got a job and started learning the language. Many did not. Arus was a mercenary on the ship that rescued Mia. He met her while on Reba-5. Read and enjoy the romance, action, and mystery in their life.

Sigh—I love a strong, protective mate who also knows how to be tender.

    Anyway, I’m super excited for book three. If the next one is anything like this, I’m probably going to lose sleep again—but it’ll be worth it. Bring on the next one.

    This done in one Kindle Unlimited book has more action and whodunit than I was expecting when I first sat down to read it. Balanced with the intrigue of who is up to what is the how are the humans coping with having been abducted, and finding themselves on this distant colony. Some are adapting, blending in and moving forward... others are in a state of denial, and some are focused on doing whatever it takes to get back what they lost .

The writing is well done and keeps you turning the pages. I'm sure we'll see more of them on the Defiant. Can't wait to see what happens with Vore and if he ever manages to win Scarlet's heart.
