LA CHICA DE PAPEL: una historia basada en hechos reales. Siempre me intrigó, cuando voy al cine, cuánto de verdad hay en el cartel que dice que la película está “basada en hechos reales”. Porque nunca una historia es 100% verdadera. Lo sé bien, me dedico a inventar historias y si no puedo inventarlas me las apropio. Podría decir que La chica de papel es casi un 100% verdadera. Porque la verdad, en este caso, está en lo que para mí es importante. Es verdad que tenía 20 años, que trabajaba en una tienda (pero de ropa, no de cosméticos), es verdad que su talle era 38, el más alto de la tienda y que la encargada la llamaba “gorda”. Es verdad que una cosa lleva a la otra y que a ella la llevó a ser Ichi, una chica frágil, dominante y dominada, vulnerable en una sociedad exigente y frívola. Es verdad que un día se metió los dedos en la boca y vomitó sin parar hasta vomitar incluso el nombre de Dios. También es cierto que, sin darse cuenta, fue lastimándose por dentro, como si lo que vomitara fuera vidrio que iba cortando y generando heridas en la garganta, por no decir el alma. También es cierto que su nuevo altar fueron las pastillas y el alcohol. Y así, lentamente, Ichi fue perdiendo el rumbo. Quise contar la vulnerabilidad. Porque es verdad que caer, en algún momento caemos todos. Lo difícil es poner el límite y mucho más ponerse de pie. La chica de papel es la historia de una fragilidad, y una reconciliación. Es la historia de un amor invisible pero latente, poderoso, tan poderoso como la voluntad de Dios.

    La novela está bien y se basa en la experiencia de vida real de una persona, aunque con los personajes y sus nombres cambiados.

    Lo que me choca un poco es que al estar acostumbrado a leer en español de España, este libro está escrito por una escritora argentina que emplea el español que se habla en la zona de Buenos Aires y también me chocó al principio, que situe la Navidad con calor, luego he recordado que Argentina está en el otro hemisferio que España y que la Navidad se celebra en verano.

    Pero basándose en la vida de una española, la verdad es que la cosa no me cuadra demasiado, la trama de la novela sí me ha gustado mucho y está muy bien.
