The Chrismukkah Crisis: A Sizzling MM Holiday Romance (Beyond Courtship Book 3) Kindle Edition

4.5 4.5 out of 5 stars 222 ratings

Matt
I’m done with love. After enough heartbreaks to last a lifetime, I’m officially calling it quits for the holidays.

Or I was… until I met
him.

One fateful December morning on the Metro, I find myself seated next to a stranger whose smile is almost as wide as his brawny shoulders. A simple handshake sparks enough electricity to light up the whole train.

By the time we part ways, I’m already dreaming of what could be.

Aaron
Meeting Matt flips my world upside down. He’s gorgeous, funny, and unexpectedly vulnerable in a way that hits me just right.

I want him in my life, but there’s one major catch: I’m his new boss. Office romances are a strict no-go, but the pull I feel toward him is impossible to ignore.

Now we’re sneaking around, finding time for stolen moments, but someone at the firm has caught on. As gossip swirls, we’re in the middle of a holiday scandal hotter than any yule log.

With office politics, secrets, and a strict no-dating policy in the way, how can Matt and Aaron survive the Chrismukkah crisis threatening to tear them apart? Or will they discover that the greatest gift of all is a love worth risking everything for?

The Chrismukkah Crisis is about forbidden romance, red-hot chemistry, found family, and a holiday season as nice as it is naughty. Get ready for a heartwarming tale of second chances and festive mischief.

Well written - and well proofread - making it a really enjoyable read. Great story that builds anticipation and a sincere fondness for the characters. This is a sweet and steamy read. This is not the first Taylor-Harwood novel I’ve read, but I am looking forward to more!

Another great story by these authors. An Instalove story in time for the holidays that brings together two men, their families and traditions. Looking forward to more from them.

Ryan and Josh have done it again. They’ve written another fabulous book that is fun as heck!

Aaron and Matt are wonderful and lovable right from the start. The story is low to medium angst, which is just perfect for my tastes, and high on the love scale. Their love is an instantaneous and remarkable one. The whole experience is “swoonworthy.” LOL! Of course there are bad guys. What story would be worth anything if there weren’t somebody to hate? And a couple of these bad guys are pretty vile and worthy of your loathing.

Yet, there’s family and friends that are so damn lovable that you can’t help smiling over their affection for Aaron and Matt. There’s also a few people that make a surprising and fond appearance from other novels by Ryan and Josh. The coming together of these two guys was the event that changed the gay romance genre forever!

All in all, this is another wonderful book from Mr & Mr Taylor-Harwood. Their stories are something that I always look forward to reading and they never disappoint. Thanks guys and Happy Chrismukkah!

During December I only read Christmas stories. I’m glad I found this one. Started with a cute meet and ended with a HEA.

The Chrismukkah Crisis by Ryan Taylor and Joshua Harwood is a sweet holiday romance. Matt and Aaron fall for one another instantly. After their first life-changing meeting, they discover they are co-workers in a company where fraternization is prohibited! A wonderfully steamy romance ensues amidst unethical practices and criminal activity. I really enjoyed the book!

This story has wonderful characters and clever writing with great descriptions that really pull you in and keep your interest. I enjoyed the internal dialogue and the dual pov.
Matt and Aaron meet while on their way to work and the instant spark of attraction surprises them both, but not as much as learning they work for the same company. They have struggles, both individually and together that they need to work through, as well as nasty people to deal with, twists, angst, and doubts. Matt and Aaron are so sweet, but they are also funny, share a quick but genuine connection, and a whole lot of steamy sexy times before they accept their love "for keeps" and earn their sweetly satisfying HEA.
    Tiny spoiler:
The only thing I did not like in this story was all the face slapping, even if it was done in a sort of playful way.

This was such a fun holiday romance. I liked both characters and enjoyed following along as their relationship progressed. I loved how the storyline flowed. There were several times I picked up this book in between doing things I needed to get done, and one chapter became two, two became three, and so on. It was so easy to get lost in.

One thing these authors are good at is developing the side characters. You’re reading the story for the main characters, but you are equally invested in the side characters.

I discovered these authors with a book that came after this one. There is even a book between them. I hadn’t read the prior books at that point. However, I wasn’t lost or confused. The authors paint a very vivid and clear picture in the words of this story. That includes the side characters. I became very curious about them, though.

I love that while these can be enjoyed in the order they were written, you can read them in any order you want. Either way will bring you a great experience and a different one as well. Each story is written as an independent one and each has a HEA. So, reading them out of order won’t spoil a thing. However you decide, you should definitely read the holiday romance. You will not be disappointed.

If you want a romantic book with little to no angst then this is the one. I'm not normally a fan of insta-love but these two MC's are just too adorable. Their relationship and chemistry felt real and believable. The narrative is enriched by extra characters who were fantastic. A HEA ending too.

I recommend this book and I am excited to read the other books of this writing duo.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sweet Christmas story
Reviewed in Australia on November 7, 2022
I’m working my way through the authors back catalogue and so far this has to be one of my favourite reads by them thus far.

It opens as a fairly standard meet cute between Aaron and Matt only to discover that they work in the same legal firm- the same firm that has strict policies about workers dating each other.

You won’t be challenged by this book by any means, but it’s very well written and the plot moves at quite a brisk place- sometimes you think it’s a bit fast, but it’s a Christmas novel and like Christmas movies, are meant to be enjoyed and usually on the light and fluffy side.

If you ask me, a book is effective if you start genuinely caring for the main characters- not only is it effective at this, but the supporting characters are also richly developed and you can’t help but enjoy the enjoy thing.
