The Christmas Dragon's Mate (Lonely Dragons Club Book 1) Kindle Edition

4.2 out of 5 stars 874 ratings

Best Surprise Ever: Going out to add to your Christmas hoard and finding your fated mate.

Laszlo
I’ve been longing to find my mate for over a thousand years. When I see him for the first time, he’s standing beneath sparkling glass ornaments, like a present waiting to be unwrapped. A present I intend to lay claim to.

If I can lure him back to my lair, I’ll shower him with so many gifts he’ll never want to leave. Bonded with my mate by Christmas? Yes, please.

Roman
I’m no good at flirting and have terrible luck with men, so when a gorgeous alpha says he wants to take me home, I’m shocked. And wary. My heat is about to start, and I’ve never shared it with anyone, so why do I suddenly want to say yes to this stranger?

There’s something unusual about him, the way his eyes shine, the odd phrases he keeps using. He says he wants to add me to his collection of beautiful things. I should be offended, but instead, I’m intrigued. Just this once, should I take a risk?

I just spent a hot and humid 99 degree; 78% humidity day indoors reading a really enjoyable set of (4) books by Silvia Violet. "The Lonely Dragon's Club", these books are well written, the characters are developed the story lines flow and the plots are good! All four books are related to each other so there is no lost characters or missing pieces. As long as you read them in order these people inner act so well in each of these books. I was taken in from the first few pages of book one and was disappointed when I finally realized that I had gotten to the end of book four and their was no more pages to read. I found the characters to be fierce and scared; but then they could also be so funny at times and endearing at others and quite frankly likable at times and at other times out right laughable. Over all I really enjoyed these four books and I am adding them to my list of re-reads! An avid reader in Rock Tavern, NY.

Cute story about a lonely dragon shifter that finds his mate in the store selling Christmas tree ornaments. Our clerk is an omega going into heat and the dragon knows his mate is going to need him. We have insecurities, a jealous former lover, and pregnancy morning sickness but true love and a complete mating bond give us our HEA. An enjoyable quick read.

I didn’t go into this novel expecting much conflict. This novel lived up to my expectations of pure fluff insta-love. The characters do not have any real depth to them, and their connection appears to be purely physical, which was somewhat disappointing. I struggled to get through the second half of the book, because I could not see any looming conflict at all, and so the book felt like it was just hopping along without a clear direction. Good for the holiday season, but not a series I’ll dive into.

This is a cute omegaverse, shifter love story. Laszlo and Roman are sweet together, and the Christmas setting of the story makes it even more special. I loved the HEA, too!

I've been in the mood to read MM Dragon Mpreg Romances lately more specifically series not single books. Therefore I was very happy to come across Silvia Violet's Lonely Dragons Club series. This is the first book in that series. There was a lot going on in this book. introductions of some central series characters. Revelation of the existence of Dragon shifters to intended mates. Over the top celebration of Christmas. Realization of what is the most precious thing in your hoarded collection. Important friendship bonds. Not understanding or believing in the Mating Bond. A difficult pregnancy. Many sleepless nights. Green eyed monster - Jealousy. And finally a much better Christmas lovingly shared with their child.

Do you ever have those periods of time where every book you try turns out to be a treasure and you never want that time period to end? That’s where I am right now, although I’m sad that I hadn’t found this book series before now. It hits all my faves: dragon shifters, fated mates, low angst, instalove, and steamy, knotty fun. I finished it one sitting and can’t wait to continue on in the series. As most of Silvia Violet’s books eventually make it to Audible, I’m crossing all my fingers and toes that this one ends up there, too! Now I’m stuck deciding whether to re-read this one to savor or hurriedly move on to the next one.

Okay. First, we have dragons and dragons and Christmas just seem to go together. Hello...shiny lights and ornaments! Dragons love shiny things.

I have to say, I really liked Laszlo and his dragon. It was cute to see him try to hide it from Roman. But Roman took it in stride. He was actually kinda funny about the whole thing. I liked seeing him grow more comfortable with Laszlo and ultimately fall in love with him. Roman was sweet but definitely had a mind of his own. I liked that he stood up for himself even if he went about it the wrong way.

I can't wait to see where the series goes. I'd love to see more of Kymar and Holden. They were really funny.

I love dragons, especially dragon shifters. I love stories of true mates. This story had an interesting plot. What was missing was intensity. The characters were two dimensional. They needed depth. Why did Roman leave home? So much emotion and depth that was needed to make this story a fulfilling read.
