About the author

Nicholas Forristal has a B.S. in Psychology (aka a B.S. in BS). With his "free" time, he regularly dislikes house work, remodeling his home and a sordid list of other lousy tasks. When no one is looking, Nicholas works on "The Chronicles of M," an ever growing series of fantasy books that range from historical fiction, horror, to modern day wackiness. There's also a bunch of comics out there with his name on them.

- Reviewed in the United States on February 14, 2015Enjoyed the book very much, lots of twists and turns and nicely written. You really got a sense of the characters and their personalities.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 25, 2014Its been a decade since the last book (in literary or is that dog years) and M has experienced a lot of personal growth. At least some of the people that comprise him. He's gained (or stolen) many useful powers. Still he has enemies, enemies he doesn't even know about, who are out to get him. Fast paced action along with the same formula of diversions and intrigue make this fourth installment another winner for M's many fans (and now that he is famous, he does have many.) More good stuff from M and Thomas plus a promising new character (actually an old one with a smokin' hot new body!)
- Reviewed in the United States on March 13, 2015Good book for some light reading.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 9, 2015I was asked to read this book for review and thoroughly enjoyed it.
With delightful humour threaded throughout, book four charts M's adventures, where he has to face new dangers alongside old ones and come to grips with his new self. There is a mix of familiar characters and new, strange and downright horrible ones, which make for an intriguing story.
I love the writing style of this author and how, although seemingly unlikely, the bizarre characters and extreme plot make for a fabulous read.
If you enjoy paranormal, science fiction and fantasy, together with the impossible made possible, this series is for you.
Recommended.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 20, 2014M on a talk show. I was hooked right there. I have enjoyed this series and this book is no exception. There are new and interesting characters, as well as old favorites. This book has Thomas, magic, zombies, Mai and Oni, and a five man midget death squad from Scotland. It is not necessary to have read the other books, but I recommend it. And this one is definitely not the end. There is death, mayhem, action, and humor. It was a fun read and I'm looking forward to book 5.
