- Reviewed in the United States on October 29, 2020It’s a short play but quite a great one for Halloween. It’s a good audio to listen to and it keeps you wondering what’s really going on! Overall, great characters and well written!!!!! It’s about a little girl, don’t understand between reality and fantasy and how things just go wrong...how an innocent child can believe on anything. It’s pretty brilliant!
- Reviewed in the United States on November 10, 2020This was a short audio play about a psychiatrist performing unorthodox ways of curing his patients. The play itself was creepy, not scary per se but creepy yes. there was some humor and I found my self laughing at times.
The play takes place in two eras 1907 and 1969, so it goes back and forth but it was written so well that the transitioning back and forth is seamless. It transitions so smoothly, that you don't even know it's happening.
There's a character Margot, she broke my heart, I was literally crying, and wanted to kill the psychiatrist! She was the best! I was a little confused at the end but I think that was just me. The play is so well written. Erin Mallon did a great job. It's a really short play, so if you have the time I totally recommend you listen to it. The narration was so good that you'll think you're at the movies.
I can't emphasize enough just how excellent the narration was and the sound effects were amazing. (less)
- Reviewed in the United States on May 25, 2021Once again, Erin Mallon, you sucker punched me in the gut! I love that you can do that.lol ...I was left speechless with this short book..I wanted more (no surprise there). This author/narrator/playwright (so many hats) always manages to bring the feels, twists and turns, humor and love into her stories. What else can I say, I am in awe of you Erin. Another awesome piece of work!
- Reviewed in the United States on November 1, 2020This audio play stems from an idea that is intriguing, clever, mad, and very tangible, which makes it extra creepy! It is a short listen that captures your imagination right from the start and never lets go. It takes you between two time periods with compelling characters navigating thru perplexing situations. I was so invested in them and what was happening, that I wasn't ready for it to end. Mallon is so talented as she weaves a tale of wit, darkness, and emotion all at the same time. The narration by Cynthia Darlow, Jonathan Davis, Caitlin Kelly, Erin Mallon, and Thérèse Plummer was exceptional, making these characters feel so vivid. When you add in the amazing and eerie sound effects, this talented cast skillfully brings this unique, fun, quick witted and hair-raising story to life!
