    Detective Inspector Corey Tatum lives for taking criminals off the streets what she didn’t know is that there is otherworldly people working to do the same.
    When a special case is brought to her she is given a new team of men to work with, but when she finds out that they are vampires that is when things get quite interesting. Ben, Cooper, Flynn & Elijah are not only her new team they are four men she can’t help finding her herself quite attractive to each of them.
    Corey can’t help finding not only the case interesting but also intriguing and when you mix these four vampires into it her life it will never be the same, and as she learns more about these vampires you will see the pages will truly become more steamy.

    This story was way too rushed and more erotica vs a true story unfolding with character development.
    The Author never went into character development so the insta-love was very jarring. I guess the Reader was just supposed to go along with the idea that these men had gone a long time without true love and just happened to fall madly in love at first sight....? And without the needed character development I was left asking, "why her? What makes her so special?"
    So in this sense it reads more erotica with it lacking storytelling and development. Which is fine if I'm in the mood for erotica... but it's not what I wanted or expected from the blurb.

    My biggest issue though... the dialogue is stilted. It doesn't flow, and the men's dialogue has a feminine tone. A lot of what they say isn't how a centuries old male would act or speak. It was jarring and they didn't seem very masculine or Alpha. So that was disappointing.

    In closing, I was expecting something else and didn't get it.

    Craved By Them is hot, sexy, and intriguing. In the world of vampires and Ancient Ones, nothing is at it seems. Love and lust combine as danger swirls around Corey and her men.

    I originally read Craved By Them when it was released as part of the Duty Bound: With Bite anthology. This is the expanded version that has more than doubled the size of the book and continues where the original novella left off, exploring immortality and what it means to want to be with the ones you love forever. I'm not one to usually read re-releases but I love this expanded version which covers so much more of Corey's relationship with her men and how their love will continue. There's also a small thread that has been left open which means if Ms Harlem chooses, there's potential for more intrigue and another story. There's certainly still another mystery left for Corey and her men to solve.

    Corey is such a competent woman. She's tough, capable, and determined. I love her dedicated to justice and righting wrongs. It's great that she's a more mature woman too and she's got her head set on straight. She knows her own mind and heart and isn't given to flights of fancy. With her men, she's passionate, giving, and loving.

    Corey's vampires are such a delicious lot. Elijah, Cooper, Flynn, and Ben are gorgeous. I love the vampire lore that Ms Harlem has woven into her story, keeping some common myths and discarding others. This blend of what's possible and what's not with them is fun to read. I particularly enjoyed learning what they were capable of and what they weren't. Of course, this is not the first time Ms Harlem has mentioned the Worshipful Company of the Ancient Order. She has other books that feature it as well and it's fun to see the order popping up again.

    I loved that the men were completely dedicated to not only their duty as the Ancient Ones, but also to Corey. Their love for her knows no bounds. Their loyalty, passion, and desire for her is stunning. It's wonderful to see that they want the best for her and love her for who she is even as she struggles with the idea of them never aging while she is mortal. I loved their sincerity when they expressed their feelings for her.

    I've enjoyed this expanded version of the book. I love the little hint of mystery and intrigue that Ms Harlem has left open. Maybe, there will be another book to follow that thread in the future.

    I love this book! It's a lot of fangy and filthy fun. It's a fantasy, fast-burn, reverse harem romance with vampires and wolf shifters. There is a bit of a mystery, as well. This is a fast-paced, exciting, and erotic adventure with a main character in her 40s who has a career that she loves. Just about everything I want in a book is here: a strong but loveable female main character, a sexy love interest (or four), a suspenseful plot, and a little laughter.

    Detective Inspector Corey Tatum is an amazingly bad-ass woman, who's been investigating some grisly murders that she thought could be animal attacks. When her boss brings in a special team of ridiculously good-looking men in uniform (Ben, Cooper, Elijah, and Flynn) and lets her in on the secret of the killer's species, Corey thinks it's a joke at first. As she comes to terms with the fact that these men are vampires and the killer is a wolf shifter, things get complicated. And hot. So hot!

    I love how this novel went from a short story (it was in the Duty Bound with Bite Anthology) to a full-length novel. There are a couple of plot twists that I didn't anticipate, and references to some of Lily Harlem's other books in the world of the Worshipful Company of the Ancient Order. Those include Bite Mark and Claw Mark, and His Vampire Harem (Parts 1 and 2). There's also more information on the shifters in the Kangorilla short story. I especially liked seeing a cameo of Bea, Aimery, and Ryle.
