Her father was a gambler and owed the Kings money. She starts school at this fancy rich school that is ran by the Crows. The Crows find an interest in her especially how she’s handles the Queen Bee of the school Bri, she had to put her in her place multiple times. The Crows : Corvus, Rook and Grey are the foster sons of the leader of the Saints. She wants no involvement with gangs but she some how finds her self getting close to theses guys and not only that she’s getting unknown text msg from someone who knows about her past and the text slowly start turning more threatening the more she gets involved with the Crows. Ava is a bad ass! She stays true to her self from the beginning and i think that’s why the guys all fall so hard for her through the books. Corvus is basically the leader of the trio but there’s so much mystery to him you dont really know much about his past because he’s not big talker and when he does address something its alway with the truth. Rook is dark and twisted and has a lot of hurt , well they all do.It makes him so freaking hot. He also as his d*** pierced. Grey is the nerd and comes off flirty and sweet but see him pissed off and its a whole different Grey. Which makes him just the best of both worlds. From the first page you get sucked into there world and you honestly get attached to all the character once you know there past and everything they been through. I can not wait to read more of Elena’s work , also cant wait for the fourth book. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟/5

    I love this book (and series). Love, love, love it. I’ve read it three times now. I come back to it because it always hits right. It’s so well written, so witty. Entertaining banter and commentary. It’s a reverse harem novel, which isn’t generally my thing. BUT, to me, an RH novel is good when the author includes male characters with strong yet completely different personalities. You basically get to see what it would be like for the female lead to be with different, yet similar, men. It never gets boring.
    Ava Jade is a fun character, someone refreshing. She is the exact opposite of a Mary Sue. She is well-rounded, strong, and most of all, she’s as entertaining on her own as she is when she’s with the guys. Her backstory really propels the story and helps to explain who she is, and why she is the way that she is. She stands firm in her beliefs and backs down from absolutely nothing. Yet, she has her vulnerabilities. Her trauma isn’t overdone, it’s just there. She isn’t always fixated on it, reminiscing, feeling sorry for herself. Instead, she faces everything head on, trying not to let her past and her pain sneak up on her.
    Then, there’s the guys. Grey, Rook, and Corvus. They’re all quite different from one another, yet, their backgrounds and bonds, among other things, bind them together. They trust each other. They’re true brothers. So loyal to one another. So protective. Don’t get me wrong, they’re all totally dark and twisted, but in that way dark romance readers know well and appreciate.
    What I like most about the guys is despite their deadly lifestyle and dominant nature, they don’t treat Ava Jade like flat-out trash unlike some other stories of a similar nature and premise I’ve encountered. When she does wrong, she is punished. But for the most part, the guys totally worship her. And to me, that’s the best thing about a reverse harem. Powerful, dangerous, hot bad boys, stuck to one another like glue, all falling for the girl who has the right qualities to complete and complement their group.

    This book started with a bang and didn’t stop! Oh my gosh, I loved it!

    Heads up that there’s a playlist linked at the back of the e-book (or I’m sure you can find it on the author’s page too) that I wish I had found earlier and could have jammed to while reading. I’ll be checking for book two’s playlist before I dive in.
    I picked this book up after a DNF book that was poorly written, so maybe I came into it biased but oh, this was So Well Written!! There’s just enough description to feel real and embedded in the story, but also not too much over description that you can’t imagine the little details yourself.
    I freaking LOVED Ava Jade (AJ)! She was such a badA, and strong, and feisty, but also really endearing and vulnerable at times. Mostly hard though – which I so admire! As a big softie myself, there’s nothing better than living a story through a tough as nails protagonist!
    There’s multiple perspectives in the book, so you get to see the side of the story from Ava Jade, Corvus, Rook, and Grey. There’s just enough backstory for each to get you invested but also hints at more that really draw you in and make you want to binge this whole series straight away! I’m so glad I put off starting this series until the fourth book came out because I’m going to do just that.
    The spice in this book is just right – fast paced but also believable, and dirty and raw, and while the guys come up with pet names for AJ I’m thrilled that this author made them actual pet names and not your typical dark romance of slurs. Such a relief!
    Dark themes for sure, I imagine there’s trigger warnings you can check if you want a heads up but I loved the surprise. Trigger warnings to me can sometimes be check boxes of “yes I want that, and that too, and yes put that cherry on top” but also can spoil it a little, so I stuck with the quick warning on the Amazon description and jumped in.
    Again, well-written, spicy and dark story, completed series, on to the next! New favorite author for sure.

    So brilliant I found myself flying through the pages like a hot knife through butter. Honestly, I had to check the word count again as I couldn’t believe I devoured the pages so quick.

    Loved Ava Jade and The Crows, and liked the small touch of female rivalry and that it wasn’t the focus of the whole book. She is a strong female character, that we are still to learn about her history, but this doesn’t detract from the story. The boys... well they’re HOT, HOT, HOT. I cant wait to find out more about Corvis, but I loved all three male characters and what they bring.

She definitely has a bit of crazy to her, but so do the guys, so they’re a great fit. There was so much to unpack in this story, and it’s only Book 1! I was begging for more by the end of the book!
