A Crown of Iron & Silver (Soulbound Book 3) Kindle Edition
New York City is decked out for the holidays, and Special Agent Patrick Collins is looking forward to a reunion with his old team when he gets assigned a new case. A human child is missing, and the changeling left in her place causes a prominent witch family to demand justice from the fae.
Meanwhile, continued harassment from the New York City god pack forces Jonothon de Vere to formally establish his own with Patrick. Doing so will mean a civil war within the werecreature community—a war they risk losing from the start without alliances. Making bargains with the fae is never wise, but Patrick and Jono have nothing to lose when a fae lord comes asking for their help.
The Summer Lady has been kidnapped from the Seelie Court, and if they can find her, Patrick and Jono will cement an alliance with the fae. But the clues to her disappearance are found in Tír na nÓg, and the Otherworld has never been kind to mortals.
Venturing past the veil, Patrick and Jono risk losing territory, time, and their very lives while searching for answers. Because the Queen of Air and Darkness knows they are coming—and the ruler of the Unseelie Court has an offer for them they can’t possibly refuse.

Editorial Reviews
Review
"Full of action, angst, and tension, A Crown of Iron & Silver is the triumphant third installment in the Soulbound series by Hailey Turner. Steeped in ancient myths and legends, it is anything but dusty and tired--this book shines brighter than silver, with a core of iron, and it joins its predecessors in the series as one of the best the genre has to offer. Hailey Turner is unbeatable, and this book proves it." -- S.J. Himes, author of the bestselling The Beacon Hill Sorcerer series.
"The world building in this book is astounding, and I'm so in love with Patrick and Jono. Each time I think Hailey can't get any better and then she does!" -- Lily Morton, author of the bestselling Mixed Messages series.
"No one combines world building and page-turning action like Hailey Turner, but somehow A Crown of Iron and Silver still managed to exceed my every expectation! The machinations of gods, conniving fae, and corrupt shifters kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time, and the development of Jono and Patrick's relationship - loyalty, caring, and passion that sears the page - cemented this as one of my favorite reads of 2019. This series gets better with every book, and I can not recommend it highly enough!" -- May Archer, author of the Love in O'Leary series.
"With Soulbound III, Turner continues to build worlds and relationships that will thrill and delight both fantasy and romance readers." -- RITA Finalist Layla Reyne, author of the Fog City series.
"Hailey Turner gives such great diction. Every scene manifests into something beautiful, and that's wholly attributed to her ability to turn a phrase. A Crown of Iron & Silver is a must-read book in a must-read series." -- Lisa, The Novel Approach Reviews.

Wow. Just Wow. I didn’t think this author could impress me any more than she already had but, boy oh boy, was I wrong.
First of all, I want to thank the author for the Glossary. I was pleased that I could flip back to it while reading and remind myself who some of the characters were. There are lots of people to remember, new and recurring.
Patrick has relaxed into his feelings and relationship with Jono, and their spicy scenes (mmmm, so spicy) show the depth of love and understanding they have for each other. They have reached a level of trust that was hard-fought but stronger because of it. Both are now more comfortable with their small pack. They are very protective of each other and the pack but most especially Wade. (Most of the time I wanted to grab up Wade and hold him close, protecting him, even as I wore myself out cooking for him.)
The supernatural political climate is, at the very least, turbulent. Jono has decisions to make that will affect, not only himself and Patrick but the future of his pack and the packs in New York City. I worried right along with him as he navigated those treacherous situations.
I enjoyed meeting the Hellraisers and seeing them in action. They are an exciting and close-knit group of soldiers and friends. Plus, it gives Patrick’s backstory more meat, seeing how they work and fight together. It was a shame that the Gods marred their reunion. Once more, Patrick struggles with his feelings about these entities that make no bones about taking advantage of him, his power, and his protective nature.
The storyline for A Crown of Iron and Silver does contain parts that are still active from previous books, and I can feel the suspense building even more. But the new storyline is engaging and allows for more chaos and bloodletting, something on which the author so obviously thrives. There is a continuous flow from scene to scene, barely allowing Patrick and Jono to rest between all the action scenes.
There are many secondary characters, many with essential parts to play and, good guy or bad, they enrich the story.
The Fae are interesting, but also kind of creepy to me. I always pictured them as beautiful, ethereal, good, kind, and loving. Yeah, ha, that’s not what you have here.
I love seeing the myriad of beings from myth and lore come to life with the authors' words and her particular view of life in the supernatural/mythical world. I have a renewed interest in the original stories of the Gods now that I couldn’t be bothered even to consider looking into before I began this series.
The groups’ trips through the veil are fraught with danger, trickery, and betrayal. They must step carefully, or their lives could be forfeit. The Gods and Fae are tricky in their dealings, and the slightest misspoken word could be their end. Their quest is punctuated by battles that pull the reader right into the action. I could almost feel the bitterly cold wind being parted by bullets and magic. The rumble of traffic going by outside my window morphed into the steps of giants as I was transported to some cliffs in Ireland. I love it. I love being in this world that the author so painstakingly created. A world where the tiniest detail means something, and you are on the edge of your seat waiting to see what will happen next. Or trying to will the characters to move, or duck or do, something, ANYTHING to get out of the mess in which they found themselves. Ahhhh. This is some good stuff
I can always count on this author to take me out of the real world and throw me headfirst and screaming into the magic and mayhem that is her mind.
I look forward to Book 4.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 16, 20194.5 stars - Really enjoyable installment in Turner's Soulbound series. Lots of action and more dire situations, plus we get to meet some of Patrick's prior military team as well as get to see more of the growing trust and devotion between Jono and Patrick. (I dig their vibe! One of my fave couples.)
This is book #3 in this gay urban fantasy romance series, and I do not think it works well as a stand-alone. You will get way-way more enjoyment if you start with book one, A Ferry of Bones & Gold.
I'm really enjoying this series- so much so that I've listened to the audio version not long after reading books 1&2, something I rarely do. It has this addictive quality that, for me, makes it incredibly re-readable and satisfying.
My only down point was I think the pacing in this one was a little slower in parts (as the characters have to move around a lot to get information, and they get pulled in a lot of directions), but overall, I find the characters and the ways they fall into (and get out of) trouble so entertaining, I don't really mind.
Totally looking forward to the next installment, and 100% thumbs up for Jono and Patrick's growing love story that's binding (pun very intended) this series together. Their growing bond of trust and love totally hits my romance reader buttons. Can't wait to listen to the audio version of this one too.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 12, 2019I’m in LOVE!!!!
Ever since reading Kate Daniels, the Foxhole Court, Captive Prince, or Red Rising I’ve been clamoring for a new series to fall in love with. Finally, I found another one to fill the hole that Kate Daniels left behind. Lucky me, there will be 7 books in the series - 4 more to come.
A Crown of Iron & Silver was as fantastic as hoped. It delivered on the key points that I was most interested in, Patrick and Jono’s relationship, their growing pack, and an action packed story.
Patrick and Jono are a wonderful couple. They have come to rely on each other in a deep and harmonic way. It helps that they’ve come to know each other so well and trust each other’s capabilities and decision making. Feelings have deepened, and it’s very satisfying to see them grow even closer with each book. I’m a bit in love with both of them myself, since they remind me so much of Kate and Curran (in a sense not literally).
Their pack is growing slowly but steadily. And I’m in love with the diversity of their growing group. It’s not just wolves that come to Jono. It’s Jono’s acceptance of all creatures that really brings this pack together.
Patrick, as always, gets dragged into one fascinating case after another. And where Patrick goes Jono goes as well. There is no boring minute in this book. Maybe even a touch too much action, if I’m really critical here. I would have loved more time with Patrick and Jono being a couple, and living together. I was missing the domestic side of their relationship a tiny bit. But boy, that didn’t’ keep me from reading this book as fast as I could – meaning, in one sitting – lol.
I’m a bit giddy that I found this series. I wasn’t aware of how big the hole was that needed to be filled with a new and amazing UF series.

5.0 out of 5 stars Spectucular MM romance
I love the romance in Hailey's books. It is a good balance between action and smut. My favorite MM romance writer so far!

5.0 out of 5 stars Pure pleasure
Enjoy every page. I like how Hailey brought forward all the supportive characters - each of them with unique features - Wade, Lucien, Carmen, Gerard, Sage... the is no weak link. Even with the mind cracking mythology and various gods pantheon you just follow the adventures with more than frequent burst of laugh thanks to Patrick's cranky comments. Last but least Jono's and Patrick's relationship which departing to grow into big, happy (but still messy) family. You just love those guys 💗

5.0 out of 5 stars Highly Recommended
A Crown of Iron & Silver is the third book in the Soulbound series and is yet another masterfully crafted story that delves into the lives of Patrick and Jono. The story this time revolves around fae folks.
The author has masterfully crafted a book that revolves around myths and she has integrated all the elements into the overall narrative in a way that is nothing short of spectacular. I like that the book is rich in so many elements be it suspense, mystery, action, romance and an arc that spans many books. What I love the most is that every book in the series deals with something new while maintaining and adding to the overall series arc.
I love the bond between Patrick and Jono and how it grows and strengthens in each book. It's spectacular to read their story and how even though it's a sub plot it still gives life to the entire series. I also love all the secondary characters and how they contribute so much to the story while they themselves grow. The book introduced new characters and also familiar old characters make an appearance. The action and suspense in the story is weaved so wonderfully into the story that it is a complete page turner.
A Crown of Iron & Silver is yet another wonderful addition to the series. The book will take you on a journey that will enthrall your senses. A must read. Reading previous books in the series will only add to your enjoyment.

5.0 out of 5 stars Teil 3...
Der dritte Teil bringt wieder einiges an Abenteuern mit sich, hat aber auch sehr schöne Szenen, welche die Entwicklung der Beziehung zwischen Jono und Pat zeigen, sowie die Dynamik des neuen Packs.
Kleines Manko, Achtung Spoiler:
Pats aktueller Fall fühlt sich nicht wirklich abgeschlossen an, aber vielleicht wird das in einem anderen Band noch mal aufgegriffen.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love Love Love this series!!!
Another fantastic installment of the series Truly a great read! I love the characters, the plot.....everything.
I have enjoyed the shift in seeing the world through Jono's eyes which started in the second book. The series seamlessly combines all my favourite elements.....magic, fae, were creatures, vampires and gods. It is so well researched and well thought out!!!
I am a BIG FAN. The author truly out does herself. I'm loving the relationship progressing between the two main characters and I seriously cannot wait for the next installment.
I highly recommend these wholeheartedly. Well done to the author.....more more more!!!!
