Intending to give up his inheritance and pursue his art, he arrives at his father's office, only to find that Fairfax Industries has fallen to a scarred man in a hooded cloak.

The man is the reclusive billionaire Lord Bane Dunsaney, and he is bent on destroying the Fairfaxes. But when he sees Nick, everything changes. Bane offers the Fairfaxes the chance to regain their fortune if Nick will reside at Moon Shadow, his secluded mansion, and do whatever the billionaire wants for a whole year. Nick has no real choice other than to agree to Bane’s terms.

At Moon Shadow, Bane lords his power over Nick, going even so far as to take Nick’s phone, computer and beloved camera away. The billionaire claims such measures are to protect his privacy, but Nick is convinced they are so Bane can control him.

Each is determined to see the worst in each other. But as time passes, Nick glimpses a Bane that is much more than the cold-hearted figure that he met in his father's office. He discovers that Bane is a man betrayed by love and no longer believes in it.

But what Nick comes to know about Bane is nothing compared to the man’s true secret. Bane is cursed. He is a tiger-shifter who has no control over his beast. And that beast wants Nick.

    The plot:
    A retelling that is recognizable without being overdone. The pace is realistic, the tension is built believably, and the whole thing leaves you eager to read more. The cliffhanger is a little brutal, but on to the second book I go, because I can’t put it down.

    The sex:
    MxM, sensual, no kink, well done and believable, appropriately spaced for the plot, solid enjoyment

    The characters:
    All the characters are surprisingly well-developed. Their personalities ring true, their quirks are enjoyable to read, and internal emotional conflict does a good job of advancing the plot while deepening understanding of the characters and their motivations. Love both male leads, and Omar is bae.

    Tl;dr:
    Plot that references and reinterprets the classic story in a pretty cool way, characters that are enjoyable to spend time with, sensual and emotionally satisfying sex. Recommend.

    I really enjoyed this book. Omar is my favorite character but I loved Bane and Nick also. I really hope nicks family gets their wake up call for what they did to Nick. I really enjoyed this book and can't wait to find out what happens next.

    This was an enthralling book, right from the start. A cool twist on a favorite classic fantasy of mine, where two men play the characters of Bell and Beast. There were several nods towards the original story, but the author seemed to make it her own in its own way as well. I definitely liked Nick best, as Bane was not just a cool shape-shifting immortal that’s been cursed by a Priestess in India way back in the day, but Bane was also something of a childish ass, especially towards Nick.

    I will warn readers: there is one attempted rape scene towards the end of the book in regards to the main character, Nick. It’s intense, but Bane does come and save the day before it’s too late. There are also warnings for: abusive, cold hearted fathers, mentions of slavery in the fact that Bane has taken Nick on as an ‘intern’ for a year, and a dreadful cliffhanger at the end of the book, as it’s book one of a…trilogy? Series? I’m not sure.

    This is a heavy duty romance, meaning there is smut in this book. Nick and Bane both grow close midway through the book, as the two actually try to talk to one another instead of just Bane being an ass. Bane’s bengal white tiger that’s inside him is also very interested in Nick, and there’s one heavy scene of the tiger pinning Nick to the forest floor…I’ll let you imagine what happens next. ;)

    Overall, I liked the book. A lot. I rate this book 5/5 stars, and I like it enough that I might just purchase book 2 to see where it goes, but I’m not going to do so immediately because I have far too many other books to read at the moment. It’s a book that if you’re not squeamish about detailed sex scenes between two men, then you should like this quite a bit. I will warn readers that it’s for 18+ only!

    I love your book!!!!!!! I love the BL genres and can I say I can not stop listening or reading your books. I started with your free Spotify for Dragons Reign and let me say I was so invested that I started from the beginning though that I would only listen while I was in my office but no! I went home was cleaning and listening and then I was up to date on the stream. I was so sad because needed more so while I was waiting I bought Crused I got all three books on Sunday and let's just say I didn't clean my house Until I finished the series which was the following Saturday. I loved the story but you and those cliffhangers they get me every time.

    I wrote that all to say you are awesome and keep drinking your Diet Coke with lime lol.
    Don't let the negative people stop you from what you love.

    I enjoyed this book very much. The audio book has mysterious music at the beginning and ending of every chapter, it gives the story a nice atmosphere. Unfortunately the characters do have a lot of things they want to say but don’t, it is not marked in the audio book at all, I had to check all the time if things been actually said or not, it’s good to have a kindle version for that and the bundle is not expensive at all! Except for this one point every thing else is awesome! Looking forward to the next book

    If you are a M/M romance fan, & a fan of the original Beauty and the Beast fairy tale, I highly recommend this trilogy. This for Mature -reader's retelling is beautifully written! I thought Bane & Nick were absolutely adorable, relate-able, and believable too! The settings in present day, and 100 years back, in another country no-less were well written and lusciously detailed. The unique lore was genius and added a very interesting take on the "curse" itself, and has given me a new fondness for Tigers, an added bonus! I was lucky and got Book 1 as a freebie, and once I was half way through I immediately bought the next two! So glad that I did!
