Dad Bod Ogre: A Monster Romance Kindle Edition
Except I don’t want to go to Earth, marry some spoiled rich kid, and live in the lap of luxury. That’s someone else’s dream, not mine. My life is here on Stars’ End, farming cheeka silk and breathing fresh mountain air.
There’s only one thing to do: I pack my gear, say a temporary goodbye to my beloved cheekas, and set out into the great unknown. I only need to survive until my twenty-fifth birthday before I’m too old to be a colony bride.
The only way there is through land marked Here Be Ogres, but nobody has seen one in years. Surely, I can’t have phenomenally craptastic luck back-to-back, right?
Dad Bod Ogre is a standalone romance in the Dad Bod Monster multi-author series. Books in this series can be read in any order.

About the author

Lynnea Lee is a recovered serial monogamist who now lives in her forever home with the warrior of her dreams. Still hopelessly addicted to the feeling of falling in love she now feeds her habit with a routine prescription of romance novels and rampant imagination. When she is not dreaming up fantastical stories of love, lust, and romance, her hobbies include talking to her plants, putting on a full face of makeup to stay home on Saturday nights, and hugging her dog and other fur babies longer than is appreciated.

- Reviewed in the United States on February 10, 2025I love the story, the characters, and the backstories. I liked that the FMC was strong and didn’t whine but did what she needed to do. I also liked how it was well rounded with meet, get to know, conflict, and resolution.

- Reviewed in the United States on April 17, 2024I really liked the story. The author kept it pretty drama free and light. I think the only silly part was the 0 to 100 on the hook-up part but otherwise, it was well done.
What I appreciated the most was that the Dad Bod theme was actualize. He wasn't just a big muscle man or older guy. I also appreciated that the author subtly weaved in his size in parts of the story so it wasn't a brief mention to be forgotten.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 8, 2024I loved this story. This is the first book I’ve read by this author and I loved it. The FMC is fierce in her own rights; a survivor, smart and skilled. While her Ogre of course saved her she wasn’t your typical damsel in distress. I loved seeing how their relationship evolved. This was also a great length, it is a relatively quick read while still beingwell-developed. It’s perfect for an afternoon of relaxing and enjoying a good book.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 25, 2024I am not usually overly fond Of ogre stories, however This 1 was quite fun. I truly enjoyed the story and the description of The world in which the ogre Carack lived. Wren was so cute I just loved this romance.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 21, 2024I liked the world building in this quick novella. The descriptions of the world and cultures were surprisingly detailed for the story length, without having too much exposition. The pacing was alright, although I think I'd it had been stretched into a little bit of a longer book, it would have been better.

4.0 out of 5 stars Dad bid ogre
Wren has been chosen as a tribute bride and she is pissed. She only had one more year to go and then she would have been safe, no longer eligible. She was not going to honour their choice instead was running away into territory that they could not enter and stay away long enough to not only miss the collection but allow them time to choose a new bride as so many women dreamed of this honour but not her. In her endeavours to create a hiding place she comes across Carack, a green ogre. She is actually trespassing on his land that has serious consequences although she is unaware of this. An understated violent love story.
