Daisy, Yellow Kindle Edition

4.2 out of 5 stars 273 ratings

Not long after a humiliating breakup, Noah inherits his grandfather's farm. Despite having grown up in the city and never having visited the countryside, he packs his bags, buys a dog and moves onto the property. What could go wrong?
Apparently quite a bit. Starting with discovering that his grandfather had been something of a horder and that his pup has a penchant for sticking her nose where it's not wanted.
When Daisy has a run in with something unseen in the garden, Noah rushes to the neighboring vet - only to find that she has not been bitten by a snake but stung by a bee. This comforting news is delivered by a tall, bearded, unbelievably hot man with green eyes that sparkle at Noah's naivete.

Hunter is everything Noah's not - messy, relaxed, comfortable with animals and people. And at 39, he's still a virgin who has never come out. As their relationship grows, the country town guesses Hunter's secret andboth men are forced to choose between being comfortable and being happy.

Daisy, Yellow is a stand alone MM romance featuring a 39 year old virgin, some hurt/comfort, a naughty puppy, and a very bossy cat.

This book deserves more than 5 ⭐️
My first read from this author and most definitely not my last. This book brought out many different emotions. The hatred people hold in the soul is terrible. I know it's out there. However, it is ugly. I hope one day it will all be gone, and people will just be accepted for who they are, not who they love. To see what these two characters had to go through was really upsetting. I know in writing a book review I am to give a brief description and my opinion on the story. However, you know you're reading a good book when you do get so emotional. I want more of Noah, Hunter, and most certainly Daisy. Yellow.

    This is a must-read book.

This was a much better read than I was expecting. The relationship between the two characters was very realistic. Sex happens between adults. And I was afraid there would be stereotypical miscommunication like out of a cringey rom-com but these two talked to each other. They had to learn to listen to each other and how to communicate best. Just like most adult relationships. It was refreshing.

I enjoyed it quite a bit. My biggest complaint is that it ended too soon.

Good book. I thought the ending lacked a little something. It left the reader unfullfilled. Other than that, it was a good story with good developed characters and plot.

Not the anticipated storyline for this format. There was a bit more pain and collateral loss associated with our new couple than usually found in a short romance. Decent character development and the book ends on a promise for the future.

This was a great read. Sadly, the bigotry that the story has at its center still exists. However, Hunter and Noah deserve and get their HEA despite the hate.

A sweet tale of two men falling in love. One recovering from an infidelity, the other closeted from fear of reprisals from the small town he lives in. Cute puppy and cat dynamics are the only comedy relief in a story packed full of drama. When news leaks that the two men are dating, bad things start happening, as feared. Girl, so much drama. Definitely will pick up the second book when it comes out.

Slow burn love that starts with a beautiful puppy. Set in a small town full of ignorance and hostility but you don't get the usual "oh we've decided to accept you after all" you get realness. Stellar read as usual from Ms Jurd ❤️

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Read

Hunter is so deep in the closet he's lost his way out, the last person to come out as gay in this small conservative town was beaten up badly. A very touching and painful read as one partner wants to be seen, while Hunter wants to stay hidden, can a relationship survive on only secret meetings? As usual we get an incredible story, sad and sexy, but we also get the sweetest yellow puppy. But unfortunately we also have a town full of narrow minded, idiotic people who think they can dictate other peoples lives.

I love the storyline where one man is closeted and this was no exception. Well written plot, a roller coaster ride of emotions from homophobic people, angst, both parents are awesome, cat and dog and funny moments. Hunter and Noah had lots of chemistry, in fact the hot, sensual scenes left me fanning myself. I absolutely recommend this book and can’t wait for the next in this series.

I did enjoy this book and my favourite character was a dog. It is a sweet romance with a good supporting cast. I loved Daisy and how she brings the main characters together. However, I have a few issues with the ending ( no spoilers). Overall, it is a sweet read about people who find love even when they believe it wouldn't happen to them.

This is a really sweet story. A slow build love affair between the two main characters. However, small town ignorance can't accept their relationship, so try everything to push them out. Shame their hatred works. But probably more true to life than most books in this genre.
